I'm not sure how many people are here, but I was feeling nostalgic this past weekend and looked in on some old journal names on LJ and realised that I miss talking to a lot of people. I miss the days of checking my flist and having posts to comment on. for the past several years my life has consisted of rp and cdjs but not fandom <i>friends</i>... and I miss it. so... if anyone wants to add me anywhere... please do! I'll be glad to hear from you (even if you're someone new!)

This place doesn't look extremely lively, but I'm new to Scribbld. I'm originally from LiveJournal, and I'm still on there all the time, but I also want to try out this place :3

I'd love to make some new friends. I'm 15, and I live in the good old state of New Jersey.
I'm a total nerd :B I play video games and read manga and stuff. I'm always on the computer, mostly on AIM, or rping on LJ. I really love music, too, and I can draw pretty well.

Some of my favorite games are the Metal Gear Solid series and Tales of the Abyss. It would be pretty cool to meet some others who like them. Especially MGS. It's my top favorite.

I really, really don't like posers. Just be yourself with me, okay? :)

I'm Amy, I live in Texas. It's really big out here, I don't like it.
I'm 21 years old but I'll be 22 in December.
I am pregnant with my first child...entering my second trimester now. It's all kinda crazy to me.
I LOVE horror movies. Especially the oldschool kind. I really have a thing for Rainbow Brite? I don't really know why. And Sailor Moon. Stuff like that just makes me happy I suppose.
I feel like I need people to know what I'm thinking and what I'm going through right now? I want to feel like there's people out there who are aware of what's going on in my life...especially since I'm nervous about it at this point in time.
I don't usually get on the computer everyday, but I try to.
And I love reading about other people's lives. It's interesting.

I'd really like if we shared the same interests. Or have some mommy friends. ;]

I will be posting pictures and whatnot.

I decided to give scribbld a try and I'm looking for friendly, active, and most importantly DRAMA FREE friends! I'm very outgoing, open minded, and non-judgemental. I blog often and love to read entries and comment, and I would prefer to add people who enjoy doing the same thing.

Now a little about me:

I'm in my early twenties, and I live, work, and go to school in Toronto, Ontario. My life revolves around school, work, and my art. I'm an amateur nature and landscape photographer. I also paint, draw, write, read, alter clothing and make jewelry, style hair, etc... Also, I love cats, cigarettes, tea, dresses, shoes, purses, leopard print, and polka dots.

I'm interested in a variety of things including philosophy, buddhism, yoga and meditation, feminism, politics, religion and spirituality, history, travel, cooking, animals, nature, etc... I love to try new things, and I'll try ANYTHING once.

As far as my taste in music/movies goes:

Music: Anything gothic, brit pop, classic rock, 80's, punk, post punk, etc... For example, I love Nick Cave, Morrissey, Joy Division, Ladytron, Patti Smith, PJ Harvey, etc...

Movies: Anything horror, preferrably classic horror/black and white/silent films. I love anything Vincent Price and most of George A. Romero's movies, not counting Diary of the Dead because that was just awful. I was a fan of zombies before it was cool.

I post a lot of my photography, and a lot of photos of myself because I am vain. I'm not an alcoholic or a drug addict but I do enjoy the occasional beer or smoke. ;) Add me even if we have nothing in common!

I'm a mostly former livejournal'er who came over here with some friends looking to get away from LJ's continuing decent into censorship and to get away from the weird Russian spam-bots that seem to popping up more frequently. I have the following interests:

Fandom and stories - Just fandom as a culture itself. Sure, I love Firefly. V, comics, music, weird history (and all of it's weird), '80's anything, the extended Star Trek and Star Wars universes (up to a point) and a ton of other works. Mostly though I'm a fan of fans and a fan of storytelling. I love it when people geek out and tell me fun stories about why they love this band or how that show changed their lives.

Interactive Storytelling/Role-playing - I think the idea of open source can and should apply to creative projects as well so long as all people are willing to help and on the same page. I love being involved with fixing up old fandoms and working on new works in a group setting. Friends of mine and I have already started a few role-playing games out here.

Librarianship - I'm planning on going into a school library and I hope to work with special ed and have a good chunk of my practice deal with non-text based materials. I'd love to talk shop with other librarians, teachers, or people with a serious love of literacy and research.

Politics - Overall, I'm a Truman-type liberal who misses sane Barry Goldwater-esque conservatives to talk to.

My downsides: If you google "Capricorn/Dragon" I'm pretty much a stereotype otherwise...generally too intense for my own good; swears; occasionally uses the caps lock key instead of the bold function, occasionally omits a word while typing and kicks herself for it later.

My name is Manda Danyele. I am 19 years old and life is still so complicated to me. I was raised in the south and that is where I currently remain. But I have been up north and I love it. Anywho, I have currently walked out on alot of people. I am just not a huge fan of drama and people around here love it. So I pretty much have my family, my boyfriend ♥ and the select friends that have never tried to bring me down. I have been online journaling since ujournal, so I was about 12. I was known under the username Pageantry on gj for about 4 or 5 years. I use to make layouts but since gj died I don't really do that anymore. However, I still make graphics so just ask. As for employment, I am currently in the process of opening my own online store. It should be opened in about a month and I am really looking forward to it. Once I finish school I want to be a writer and I am currently working on my first novel. And yes, it's a love story. But anyway, if you want to really get to know me just add me. (: xo

hi. i'm kazoo and i'm tired of the clichéd "i'm an alcoholic" introduction being used everywhere i go. please don't do this to me, i will enact physical harm upon your person via text.

i'm not new to scribbld – until recently, i hadn't been very interested in this place, but now that i'm diggin' it, i figured i may as well try an add me community.

i'm 18 years old, and i don't actually type in all lowercase most of the time... i'm just lazy as hell. i'm not really into anime or manga, but i used to be all hardcore up into that bizniz from the time sailor moon was being aired on toonami until two years ago, so i'll (probably) know what you're talking about if you rant about either often. the same goes for final fantasy, but i still probably know more about viii than half of you noobs anyway. do not talk to me about x-2, xiii, or gackt. remember my bit about physical harm via text? yeah, there will be texty blood and i will drink your milkshake, too.

i'm notoriously bad with actually updating about my personal life. i treat journals much like one might treat family conversations at the dinner table, with more swearing and capslock. i am, however, awesome with commenting. i live for commenting. why would i want to write about my boring life when i could comment on yours? jeeze.

when it comes to roleplay, i haunt insanejournal games like nearly-headless nick. i stick mostly to original characters, but i've been known to trail off and pick up angel, squall leonhart, malcolm reynolds, wade wilson, et cetera. my interests are far and sort of confusing. on one hand, i love harry potter and lord of the rings. on the other, i go mad for firefly and x-men. and somewhere in-between all of that is my undying love for buffy the vampire slayer and charmed.

tl;dr version: add me 'cause i'm obviously super cool. just look at my super cool icon, srsly.

I'm not for everyone, I assure you of that. If you don't like me, I don't care, but don't waste your (or my) time telling me. Surely you have better things to do.

I bitch and moan alot, usually about the same stuff. Primarily about my boyfriend and his mommy.

I have alot of pet peeves. Some of them may seem trivial, but they bug me.

I like Family Guy and Star Wars. I like books better than the movies the books are turned into (yes, I'm one of THOSE people). I like eating and making fart jokes. I swear alot.

But I'm not entirely bitchy. Really, I'm not. Usually, I'm just random and funny. Or at least I try to be.

Lastly, I just want some dang friends!!

Anyway I'm a photography and journalism student living in Ontario, Canada.
