It had been killing Michi all year that she hadn't been able to actively participate in her favorite clubs. Sure she could coach and help choreograph in quodpot and dance but it wasn't the same thing. She still showed up though, every day she could, and she got really into directing. She blamed her high stress on the dancers for not being able to hold a beat and stay in time. She was constantly yelling out to them and counting the beats out but they still weren't getting it.

One day. One was all the had left before the big performance and they had been working all year. "Come on guys! Get it right!" she yelled for the last time. She reached over and turned off the CD player. "This is fucking ridiculous!" She wasn't in very good shape for hollering and directing a dance performance, she hadn't even given birth two weeks ago.

Michi had wanted some alone time with Tatum. It had been almost a month since her accident and she hadn't even been able to sit down and talk to her alone yet. She wanted to reassure Tatum that nothing had changed between them, that she was still family and she didn't want the girl to live anywhere else. It had taken a little coaxing and Michi was sure that there would be some sort drawback but they were promised the apartment for the night while Mack and Hunter had a boys night out.

There were still boxes all over the apartment but they were making the best of it and it was comfortable. She was already adjusting to the feeling of independent living with the other three women and found herself liking it quite a bit. Michi had set herself up on the couch with pickles and chocolate milk close at hand and readied herself for the conversation she had been wanting to have for a month now.

It had been a long night. The hospital was a blur, no one knew how long they had been waiting or what was happening but every time someone in a blood soaked uniform stepped forward, everyone tensed in their seats until the doctor walked away. He knew it was tempting the fates but he hadn't remembered a better experience with the wolf than when he had missed his wolfsbane potion. He had been staring at the little bottle all day, contemplating whether or not he would take it. If he didn't take it, he risked running wild and hurting someone but he knew it would be difficult to get out of the room under King's Hall especially with all the locks and the cuffs. He was sure it would be fine.

Sam waited anxiously as the time ticked away, as the sun sank lower in the sky. He knew it was a chance but the more he suppressed the wolf, the worse his reactions became when the full moon. He had to learn how to cope with it, he would be out of school in just a few years, he needed to know he could control himself. Sneaking away to the room under King's Hall, he locked himself away for the night and waited for the change to come.

Just as it had come on the last time, the transformation began once the moon was full. He screamed and howled as his body began to rip, tear, elongate, and change. In a matter of minutes the wolf stood in the room. He paced back and forth before he began to pull at the chains keeping him tethered to the ground. He wouldn't stay contained, the boy might have been content to sleep in a basement chained like a beast but the wolf would not stand for it. He pulled until the chains broke free of the floor and then violently smashed against the door. The door bent in on itself, he smashed into the door again and it began to crumble. One more time, and though the wolf was bleeding from his shoulders and a little from his face, he finally knocked the door off it's hinges and it crashed to the floor.

He was free. He took off, heading straight for the woods. Walls were for people and he was no person.

She had just settled in to watch bad reality television with Tiger and Leo when she thought to text Hunter. She had intended to do it earlier but she didn't even know where to begin. As the sun crested over the campus, things were beginning to turn back to normal. The blood had all been cleaned up and people were starting to return to themselves. The love potion was wearing off and people were beginning to realize they were not where they were supposed to be.

Gaudy wasn't the right word for the way that the ball room had been decorated. Gaudy wasn't nearly extreme enough a word to cover the over the top ridiculousness that had occurred in the room. Shades of red, pink, purple, and white flooded all over the hall. Fat, naked cherub toys swung from the ceiling shooting foam, heart shaped arrows down into the crowd. Red hearts floated past and every once in a while, one of the hearts would explode and send glitter all over the place.

Streamers, banners, and table cloths were heart and glitter covered. Staff were watching the students and aurors took a few rounds around the outside of the building. Snack tables were covered in Valentine's Day snacks and the punch was bright red with Valentine's Day themed cups.

At first, Michiko had wanted to join the watch team. She wanted to be able to do something, to help out and protect Blue Ridge but Mack was right; Michi needed to take care of Monkey first. Even if it was just a watch team there was no saying if it would remain that way even in the course of one night. They could run into just about anything and she had to think about her son before anything else. She knew Hunter and Mack would take care of each other out there though and she was okay with that. She worried about Tatum though, she didn't seem as accepting about it and Michi knew that this was another way she could help.

So she planned their taco party. Chick flicks, monster video games, and tacos made everything better! She wanted to get to know Tatum, spend some time with her and help her out. They could hold down the fort together. So after buying a ton of tacos Michi settled into one of the big comfy couches with a pile of movies from her collection and Tiger. "Are you so ready for this?" she asked Tatum with a big grin, already digging into her fiesta potatoes.

It was the last dance of the calendar year and the last chance to have a great bash, it was the last chance to impress. The social events committee, with the help of the staff, had decorated King's Hall to be a winter wonderland. They charmed giant, fluffy flakes to fall from the ceiling, the walls seemed almost iced over, and jovial holiday music played overhead as if were coming down from the ceiling with the snow flakes.

A snack and drink table was set up in the back, blue and silver table clothes lining the long tables and silver chairs set up around the whole hall. There was a giant light up evergreen tree at the back of the room with decorations that students from the past had given to the school and there were several menorahs set up and lit around the room. The staff were dressed in their holiday best and prowling the dance for drunk kids and boys and girls who were dancing to close but generally there was a feeling of merriment, joy, and excitement over the holidays.
