What's the code to hide all my communities from the public on my userinfo on LiveJournal? Or was that just a GreatestJournal cheat?

Yep, only on GJ. It worked because of the counter option.

There's a way to hide your friends of, as well as communities you're in but don't watch on your friends list. On this page: http://www.livejournal.com/manage/profile/ , if you deselect the two check boxes at the bottom of the page, it should cut back on the amount of clutter.
