The President's Speech (News Report-Open to Reactions)
"...and it is imperative that those of us who do not possess the gene for mutancy to insure that our civil rights and inherent freedoms are not violated by those that do. I do not advocate violence or discrimination against mutants; on the contrary, I advocate assimilation and integration with the general populace, after said people have declared their empowered status and work with the government for a set number of years to improve our country." President Ndroso says to the assembled crowd.
The assembled reporters seemingly nod in agreement, remaining mostly silent as he continues to speak.
"However, the subversive and terrorist activities perpetrated by the group known as 'The Chosen of the Gods' will /not/ be tolerated. We will hunt you, we will find you and it is this administration's first priority to root out this group of mutants and bring them to justice for their crimes against the human populace of Ghudaza. This group has recently taken responsibility for the attack perpetrated one year ago at Ghudaza Medical Center, killing over 2,000 people including my wife and young son." Ndroso says, pausing to let that sink in.
The crowd murmurs in shock and disbelief. Ndroso's desire to run for office had come from that singular event, though he rarely discussed it in public, even if it was common knowledge.
"Next week, I will be visiting America to speak with the President of the United States and the Senate about a joint effort between several countries to root out all mutant terrorist groups, as well as initiate discussions on how to bring mutants more fully into the global community. Those who wish to live in peace are welcome to do so, but those who are dedicated to the cause of mutant supremacy over humanity by any means, violent or non-violent, must be apprehended and brought to justice." President Ndroso says, looking directly into the camera.
"Thank you for your time this evening, and God Bless." he says, turning to leave the stage.
