Giovanna dragged Angelo out of bed one morning, even earlier than they normally woke up.

"Come on, mon frere. Get dressed -- warmly -- and let's get you some exercise on the roof."

	Earlier than he usually gets up, but Gio has been training him as well. Plus, of course, its a good chance to get some air and a decent start to the day before getting to work. (Reply to this)(Thread)

Registering a female voice triggers Angelo's compliance, until he wakes up a bit further, yet not so far as to recognize it as Giovanna. At the realization that he's being pulled from bed by an unknown figure, he immediately teleports across the apartment, landing in a disoriented heap on the other side of the kitchen.

"Porca miseria..." He mutters in disappointed Italian as he draws himself up, recognizing her now. Her words sink in fully now, and he seems to cheer up. "Yes, Gio." He gathers appropriate clothing and equipment from the storage tub that's been serving as a dresser, and excuses himself to the bathroom to change. He emerges shortly after, ready to go.

She'll sigh at Angelo and heads upstairs with them. "Okay. No use of mutant abilities today. They're not always there when you need them. No knives, either, Angelo. You can't take them everywhere. Especially in diplomatic circles."

The roof decor is pretty as it ever was, devoid of most of the mess from the previous spring, but maintenance aren't always perfect. There's a few metal sticks in the corner leftover from repairs, and yet if one actually stepped on the fire escape, it would give just slightly with concern.

Not that Gio does.

"Just the rules I said. No knives. Only teleport if there's an accident and your life's actually in danger." She included the qualifier to make sure he didn't take her too literally in the event of an emergency.

Gio ducks a little as she comes at him, striking forward, intending to drive him backwards toward the east side of the roof. "Object of the exercise is to get to west side of the roof."

	She notices Andrew's moving out of the corner of her eye. "Good idea." She manages not to say 'mon ange'; she's trying to seem professional in front of her baby brother. 	Gio is miles of arms and legs, so Angelo knows he's at a disadvantage with her being the one on the defensive. He feints left, then dashes right. He figures his best bet is being able to corner and change course better than her. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	His first thought is to bend backwards, but he can't trust to his flexibility in these heavier winter clothes. Instead, he ducks and spins on his heel, letting his momentum carry him under the arm. It's less swift, but less likely to leave him on his rear. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	Angelo lets out a strangled noise as the collar pulls back against his throat, before wriggling his way free and scrambling away on all fours, now down one layer of warmth. He is visibly not pleased with having had to make that sacrifice, and lost ground as well. He watches Gio, trying to determine the correct feint for his next advance. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

"Dignity is a luxury." Angelo chuckles, wiping off his hands as he weaves gently from side to side, testing his sister's attention. "Completing a task with some loss of face is better than letting down those depending on you with composure."

He charges straight forward, using short and very rapid steps, rather than a running stride. Just as he'd be in arms' reach, he hits the brakes and takes a half step back, before rushing forward again, trying to slip under her reach.

	Angelo's commentary may, in fact, be more distracting to say than it is to hear. His observable plan seems to rely on his sister's staying on a single plane across the roof. She doesn't. Gio steps forward and grabs for his arm. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	The advance hits true, and he's grabbed. His momentum falters and he's forced to take another large step back. Angelo grits his teeth and fights off one of his most hard-wired instincts. He reaches out and strikes at his sister, thrusting an open palm into the crook of her elbow. He pushes forward and upwards, trying to create an opening for him to pierce through. 	Angelo grunts as he's pulled in closer, Gio having met his own advance. Plan B. He balls up his free hand, mindful to keep his thumb on the outside, and punches her in the stomach. It takes a very concerted effort on his part to not reflexively apologize. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)
