A Day of Thanks

In America today is a day for being thankful for the things in people's lives. Today was a day to celebrate family, friends, prosperity and health with food, family and friends. It is a time to reflect on what is important us and to recognize the gratitude we hold for having those things in our lives.

	Thanksgiving had been prepared by the Thunderbolts' chef Stephanie Brooks. They had turkey and all the fixings and sides. Anya had set up a movie marathon all set up for after dinner. Anya was thankful for her family, friends and loved ones. (Reply to this)

	Irina played gopher for Corey for the items he need to prepare the Champions' meal. She helped in the kitchen chopping and dicing where needed. She couldn't cook worth a damn, but she could use a knife. (Reply to this)(Thread)

	Corey was extremely cheerful. He had lots of classical American Thanksgiving dishes, several local Louisiana favorites, and a number of traditional Incan dishes the Nova Romans had adapted. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	Jenny hadn't celebrated Thanksgiving officially for several years. It was an experience, especially watching Corey work in the kitchen. She kept YC out of the way, as the cat believed it was his job to oversee the work. (Reply to this)(Parent)

	Kalypso's family didn't celebrate Thanksgiving. In fact they didn't celebrate any holidays at all. Eternals were a different bunch and didn't get caught up in mortal affairs. Kal however had been raised with American holidays and loved celebrating. She would be found at the Avengers' mansion along with anyone else who happened to be there. (Reply to this)

	Thanksgiving in the Defenders compound looked like an even that would have been for twenty people. Four twenty pound turkeys, two ducks, two hams, three chickens, a side of beef, four apple pies, two blueberry pies, two pumpkin pies, six loaves of bread and a ton of sides were the normal fare for godly appetites. Syd helped Sarah, Hugh and Melinda prepare the meal. (Reply to this)(Thread)

	Svalin liked the Migard holiday of Thanksgiving. Asgardians had much to be thankful for and it was rare that they took the time to /be/ thankful. Svalin had a lot to be thankful for this year. Marlow did the best she could by staying out of the way of the cooks. Funny enough, they didn't appreciate a little magical assistance. How was she to know that an enlargement spell on a carrot would startle them so much?

She thought it was a /little/ silly to save thankfulness for one day out of the year. Every day you woke up with and still had your magic was a thanksgiving day.

	Cait didn't help cook Thanksgiving Day dinner, but she did help out by helping with the baking of the pies and bread. Dad had called to see if she would go to Grandfather William's this year, but Cait politely said she was going to spend it with the X-Men. She did promise to go see her grandparents over the weekend. 	Misha was all about football on Thanksgiving. It wasn't a /serious/ game like baseball, but he enjoyed it. And all the goodies available for snacking. Each time he went in for more, he made sure to cheek smooch all the girls. (Reply to this)(Parent)
