Meme: Josh and Ben Chase
It was supposed to be discreet. The government had gone to great lengths to have the prototype technology transferred to a local scientist for study, even keeping SHIELD out of the loop for the purposes of secrecy. It should have worked. The vehicle was nondescript and the accompanying vehicles were subtle in their position of guarding the important vehicle. By all rights it should have worked..but this was far from an ordinary world. Hover-vehicles of unknown design seemed to appear out of nowhere, actually using an advanced form of cloaking technology, and blocked the disguised convoy in front and back. Men in the blue-silver suits of RAID disembarked the hover-vehicles and quickly began to fire on the guard vehicles.

An Asian man with cybernetic enhancements stepped out of the lead-vehicle of the attackers. "Let us make this quick, shall we?" He withdrew a sword crackling with energy and sped toward the defenders, cutting them down both quickly and efficiently. Sheathing his blade he forcibly pulled the doors open of the van containing the device. "Take it and load it quickly. I trust I do not need to stress that you be careful." The RAID technicians nodded, grabbing the experiment and moved to load it.

Josh was still on leave, but he'd be returning to work soon. He was driving to check out the place Val mentioned she'd like to go to when the sudden attack lit up the traffic ahead of him.

"What the hell!?" Traffic had effectively stopped so Josh stepped out of the car and saw the distinct blue-silver uniforms of RAID. "Son of a bitch!" He still kept important SHIELD tools on hand at all times and quickly called in to the closest SHIELD stations. "This is Agent Josh Hoskins. We have an emergency situation here! RAID forces spotted in the city limits! Repeat: RAID forces in the city limits! Send back-up immediately!"

After finishing his statement he went to the trunk of his car, removing the false bottom in order to pull out a bazooka-like weapon.

"Back to the grind," he muttered before heading toward the scene up ahead.

Class was over, and Ben had some free time. Which for him always meant webslinging, but since he hadn't even bothered going home after, instead heading straight to the webslinging, Ben had a black one-shoulder backpack strapped onto him. Okay so technically people might think he was patrolling due to the costume, ignore the knapsack, but this was more a joyride than looking for trouble.

Still, it was NY and trouble had a way of happening anyway. He'd only followed the direction of the traffic jam out of curiosity, figured it might be a car pileup he could help with but this...this was not what he expected. Weird blue uniforms. Well...time to do whatever a spider could.

Spider-Man swung in and landed crouched on the top of the van. "I wish all deliverymen worked as fast as you guys."

Ack! Laser pistols? Ben leaped of the van, his enhanced flexibility made dodging in creative ways not all that difficult. But still, he was pretty inexperienced when it came to crimefighting.

Mid-air, he shot a web-line at the guy talking into his wrist, he figured that was the leader, and taking out the leader first was the best way of doing these things he figured. "You guys seriously shoot like stormtroopers. Work on that okay?"

	Oh bad bad bad. Mid-air meant nothing to hold onto to pull back, so Ben does the next best thing he can think of in the spur of the moment. As he's being yanked he shoots another web-line with his free wrist at the man's feet, trying to catch them and yank them out from under him. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	Aaaaand no choice. Brace for impact. The kick hits Ben in the stomach, sending him flying back and crashing into the van. "Ow..." He mumbled to himself, dazed from the hit and landing. "But I'm not holding anything, officer," he added in a mumble, after hearing Josh's words but not seeing who he was talking to, as he rubbed his head. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

Shiro noted Josh's sudden arrival, more importantly the sophistication of the gun he was holding.

"SHIELD. No time to waste here. Bring the device to my craft instead." The technicians looked ready to hesitate with Josh holding a big gun at them, but the cybernetic eyes of their superior seemed to glow a little in menace. That was all it took for them to gingerly, but quickly make their way to Shiro's craft.

The RAID techicians looked in a panic until Shiro smirked. His sword crackled with energy, and with a speed and precision beyond human, he brought the blade up, slicing the projectile in two clean pieces, causing them to shoot past him and explode in two different places. The technicians gawked for a moment before quickly shoving into the hover-craft.

"Sayonara, Agent." Shiro turned to enter as well.

Ben came to his senses in time to see the very impressive slicing of a projectile happening. He sprung to his feet as he saw the hover-craft lift off. "Ah no no no, okay just chase it down and..." Shoot, the thing had already gone far enough down the street that he couldn't just shoot a webline and hold on for dear life. Plus that might not be the smartest solution with it flying that low...

Wait, first thing in the superhero manual. Make sure nobody was hurt. Then run from authorities. "Right...is anybody hurt and-wait you seriously carry a bazooka around?!"

	"I work for SHIELD," Josh said by way of explanation. He dialed 911 and gave them the location of the attack. He hung up and turned to Spider-Man. "People are wounded, but with treatment they should be okay." He looks in the direction of the retreating hover-craft before heading to the one he shot earlier. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	Josh stepped in, quickly studying the inside of the vehicle. It looked similar to vehicles he'd seen before, but..this was going to be a bumpy ride. "No time for that right now. Just hang on because I only half-know how to work this thing!" Josh activates what he thinks is the accelerator..and suddenly they're tearing after the RAID hover-craft. 	Ben clung on and climbed his way to the front of the vehicle while Josh got in. "Hang on, got i-aaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhh!!" It felt like the thing had gone from 0 to 100 in a second, and he was clinging to the thing with only his fingertips. "This....is....kinda awesooooome!" Talk about a thrilling roller coaster ride! 	"Sir, we're being followed by one of ours!" Shiro noted the sight of the other hover-craft coming up fast behind them. "Deploy armored support." That's when a pair of armored soldiers disembarked the hover-craft and took off into the air. They raised their fists at Josh and Ben's vehicle, miniature lasers erupting from their wrists. "I'll handle it!" He called out and unstuck his fingers, crouching on the hovercraft as he shot out webbing to one of the flying soldiers. "And...aley oop!" Ben swung from the soldier letting go when he was behind and flipping onto the soldier's back.

"Time for some not-so-friendly fire." From his perch on the back of the soldier he worked on turning the guy to aim at his comrade instead of Josh and the hovercraft.

	"The hell!?" The trooper hadn't expected Ben's tactic and foundhis body pulled toward his compatriot. While the armor took the brunt of it, there were plenty of marks of damage. "Knock it off!" This would require bending over backwards for things. Literally.

Feet still stuck to the trooper, he let go with his hands and showed off spider flexibility by bending way over backwards to dodge the laser. Ben then sprung back upright and shot webbing at the other trooper's visor before leaping off one, and kicking back at it as he did so, and jumping onto that second trooper.

The kick sent the one armored trooper back as the other tried to remove the webbing from his visor. However Ben landed on him before he could do more.

"This is ridiculous," Shiro cursed darkly from the craft. "Take over piloting," he ordered to one of his men. The hatch opened up and Shiro climbed on top of the craft, magnetically locking his feet to to the top. He raised the sword, charging it up, but more than he'd shown previously.

	Ben sent his fist into the flying pack, or whatever it was that was making these guys fly, before he heard the warning. "Got it!" Feet still stuck on the trooper, he shot webs out to the other hovercraft, then with all his strength he used the setup as a slingshot to kick the trooper towards Shiro standing on top of the craft. Damn, that was...odd. The trooper in the way at least gave him an extra moment but the shockwave severed on of his weblines, so he let go of both, shooting a new one out to a nearby building and yanking himself up and away from the shockwave just in time.

"Phew, close one."

Time to try and bring the fight to the hovercraft. Ben swung forward, letting go and flipping onto Shiro's hovercraft and landing behind the man.

Powers were his default state, he was completely comfortable having to keep his balance and sticking to the hovercraft, this sort of stuff he loved.

"If we're being honest? Yeah it kinda is," he shrugged with a rather 'sorry but not really sorry' aspect to it. Then shot out globs of webbing, aiming at the eyes, but also trying to stick Shiro's knees together, or his arm to his body and so on.

	Shiro used his cybernetically enhance speed to run across the roof of the vehicle. He dodged the first few globs to the face and shifted to avoid one of the lines to his knees, but being unable to jump right now prevented him from dodging all of them as a couple connected to his left knee and arm. Fun thing about fighting on a moving hovercraft, you always had to be somehow touching the surface of it otherwise you'd be flying off. So it was impressive dodging from the guy, Ben could appreciate that.

Next thing Ben did was aim a stream of webbing at the guy's feet as he stopped to cut off the strands on his limbs. Cutting yourself out of those was fine, but cutting yourself out of webbing attaching your feet to something was more of a bitch. Trust him, he knew. "This is my kind of fight," he smiled beneath the mask. Sticking to things as a requirement for the fight? Hell yeah.

Good, that was one step done. Ben was in the middle of gesturing to Josh wildly to try and indicate 'If you've got anything to shoot with, now would be a good time!'. When in the middle of that the classic buzzing in his head goes off. Spidey sense...shoot.

Looking behind him, Ben sees the gunman and pivots out of the shot's way, shooting off another web shot as he does so.
