What If? No Going Back @ 12:03 am

[info]swashbuckler:

Well, there was good news and there was bad news.  The good news was that the girls had, indeed, successfully freed them from a lifetime of service to the Empress.  They'd successfully bargained for their release and had been allowed to go back home.  There had been the promise that they would be returned to normal as soon as possible.

That.... had turned out to be a lie.

Steve didn't fully understand the science behind it all (though Doctors Richards, Pym, and McCoy had gone on about it for quite some time), but the basic phrase that had come up was something along the lines of "permanent or possibly fatal genetic damage" if anything was attempted to be done to change them any further than what the Empress's science had done.  At least, for the mortals among them anyway.  Halbjorn and Iason's possible fates were a bit more up in the air.

Steve had gone back to his(?) room in the mansion, not knowing what else to do.

This?  ...This just royally sucked.

Getting Back to Normal @ 07:50 pm

[info]nextgen_parent:

Sersi chuckled when her nephew told her about the Avengers little problem. She of course had agreed to help and had flown over to the mansion. She was in residence for the next few days to change them all back.

You Make Me Feel Like a Natural Woman @ 05:37 pm

[info]ng_independent:

They had arrived at Earth and had orbited for awhile before Empress had selected her targets. It had taken some time. She didn't want just ANYONE. They had to be among the best. She WOULD win the gladiatorial games this time. NOTHING would stop her. Not even a small thing like gender.

Empress didn't care if it was cheating. The only thing that mattered was winning and she would win this time.

The teleporters were activated and the selected targets were beamed directly to the lab. There they underwent a little transformation and were given attitude readjustments and then put into a holding cell.

The men would wake up in the holding cell to find a few changes.

(no subject) @ 07:37 am

[info]ng_independent:

Kohlrhia was not happy. Her plan to find the best female warrior had failed. Not only had it failed, but it had failed because of drooling by-products of terran hormone experiments. Men. Vile, repulsive men. They were stronger in general, but her female warriors should still have defeated them. Not the other way around. She was still not over one of those...things...bringing down half her ship in the process.

If only the women were as strong as the men.

It was as if a light suddenly went on. Yes. That was how she could win. Sure it was cheating, but it wouldn't bother her any if she still won in the end. This was a sure way to win over her father, Tryco Slatterus' champion. It couldn't fail. She would win and finally get the respect she deserved.

"I want repairs finished within the WEEK!" she shouted to her "court". "We are going back to Earth!"

She sat back on her throne and smiled. This time it would work.

The Best Laid Plans @ 05:38 pm

[info]ng_independent:

The Empress was most pleased. Very pleased indeed. Things were going according to her plan. The recent fights had been entertaining and she had her champion. Now she could win the games here on her home world. Her champion would win no matter what and she now had more soldiers in her army. She was quite pleased indeed.

She was stretched out on her litter as four of her soldiers carried her to the area. It was the start of the games and by the end her champion would be victorious.

Everything was going according to plan.

Let the Games Begin @ 07:13 pm

[info]ng_independent:

"I have made my selections!" Empress declared to her assembled "court". "ColLECT thEM!" she ordered.

"Of course your majesty," a guard said with a deep bow.

"I want them dressed and ready to FIGHT as soon as poSSible!" She wanted to find her champion as soon as possible. There were fights to win. Respect to be gained. Blood to be spilled! All of it was for her personal gain. She relished in the power her fighters gave her. "Now GO!"

The guard bowed again and hurried off to obey her Empress' wishes.

An hour later all of the selected girls were teleported up to the ship and the brainwashing process began.

As soon as possible they would be put into the arena and would fight for their Empress' pleasure.

An Empress' Work Is Never Done @ 09:39 pm

[info]ng_independent:

Empress sat on her "throne" and sighed. She had another round of possible candidates to look at and quite frankly she was tired of it. It was such an exhausting thing to pick out candidates to be her warriors. Though she had to admit, Earth had quite the selection to choose from.

"StaRT it aGAIN," she ordered. Images started going across the screen.

"No."

"No."

"Yes."

"No."

"Yes."

"Yes."

"No."

"No."

"No."

"No."

"NO."

"YES!"

"Turn it off," she said with a wave of her hand. "I've had enough toDAY. TomorrOW I will look at more."

"Of course, your majesty," one of her servants said with a bow and removed the screen. "Would you like us to collect the candidates now?"

"No. When I've selected them all, then we will collect thEM."

"Of course, your majesty," she said with another bow.

Empress sat on her throne and pouted. This was taking too long.

January 14th, 2010

Beginning @ 09:30 pm

[info]ng_independent:

“ExpLAIN!” The Empress demanded of the woman warrior standing in front of her. The Empress was quite displeased. Her best warrior had failed. Lost. Defeated. “This is unacCEPtable!” When she spoke her voice rose and fell with the syllables.

“Your highness….”

“Halt! There are no exCUSES! You have failed me! Get her out of my sight!”

The guards, all women of course, moved to surround the warrior. The woman bowed her head and then left with the escort of the guards. Empress pouted. Her best warrior had been defeated. She pouted more.

She watched her court (really the ship crew) move about. The women were efficient and loyal, but none of them were good enough warriors to win the gladiatorial competitions. Kohlrhia needed someone who could win. The problem was where could she find said person?

She thought long and hard (which for her wasn’t that long or hard).

It struck her like a bolt of electricity.

She knew EXACTLY where she could get warriors. Not just warriors, great warriors. Earth's mightiest warriors. The best the planet has to offer.

“Set a course for the Sol system!” she ordered.
