IRON FOREST

On Yule of 1520, Baba Yaga attempted to seal away Loki and end his reign of terror throughout the world. At the height of their duel, he suddenly vanished into thin air. The world was safe once more, believing that was the last they'd ever see of the Mad Witch.

They were wrong.

Nearly 500 years later, on the same day in 2011, another witch was being tried by Baba Yaga. She attempted to use a spell and escape into the past, far away from the Witch Queen's wrath, but it backfired. Instead, she managed to pull Loki through time and killed herself in the process.

Now, he has taken on the identity of a prominent British politician and has continued on his plans to overtake the Iron Castle and claim what he believes to rightfully be his.

A war is brewing.

No one is safe. All sides are up for the taking. With the brutal murder of Stewart Vintner, the leader of the werecreature faction in Europe, everything has been thrown to shambles.

Even the humans have been thrown to the wolves. The Olympic Games fell under attack of an agent of Loki's, killing thousands and wounding many more.

As time passes, the answer remains a mystery but the question rings loud and clear:

When the time comes, what choice will you make?

The year is 1933 and with the rise of a Schakalen in a position of power in Germany the Wesen have begun to realize that they do not need to hide, nor to allow the Grimm to dominate the playing field and the news is only spreading further, growing outside of the country. With that the longstanding Verrat are now facing an opposition that calls itself Laufer.

Hatred is mounting higher between the two species as the Wesen have begun to properly defend themselves and attacks by each have begun to become more frequent and damaging.

The tables have turned and the Grimm are no longer the hunters but the hunted.

A Grimm Tale is a multi generational and country Grimm-centric RPG. The main focus of the community is the power struggle between the Grimm, Wesen and how it impacts the humans around them. Currently is only open to characters set 1933.

Dresden Academy
Dresden Academy is a high school/university game for Original Characters set in the Harry Potter Universe. Played on scribbld, googledocs, and over aim. This year has already seen their sporting teams slashed and some of their favored teachers threatened with forced retirement. They have no idea what's in store for them in the coming months; if only the students could stay out of their own mischief long enough to notice what's happening around them. Monthly events, sporting results, anything goes play. We're a small, but friendly and fairly active group looking for some new players up for all kinds of chaos.

This game is taking the DC Universe and offering it to the player. The Justice League of America follow in the footsteps of the JSA. The Teen Titans, composed of several sidekicks of the JLA, is formed. Many foes native to earth pose a threat to the peace and order of many parts of the world in a world of uncertainty heroes rise to the challenge to meet them head on. Were just a small community of people that just write about our favorite marvel characters for fun. We don't have over the top standards. If you can write and your friendly and up for active plot then this is a game for you. The mods don't play favorites and we don't bash anyone for how they write as long as the write and we understand it then it's just as good. We all do what we can to keep a good atmosphere and be as welcoming as we can. We are all just friends and we hope you join us. :)

The point in canon right now is based on the events page. A small synopsis on the game so far. The west coast avengers failed. Upon finding Captain America, The Avengers initiative was started again. The vision is currently shut down and being fixed. Stryker is being funded secretly by the hellfire club and apocalypse is for now, Working in the shadows with sinister.
That's the story so far.

This is only the beginning.

For many years, the Crescent City Institute of Magic has been one of the best schools for Witchcraft and Wizardry in the United States. Located in the culturally rich city of New Orleans, it has had its fair share of tragedy for such a praised and respected school. First was hurricane Katrina, which rocked New Orleans to its core, and the death of the headmaster as he helped the students evacuate.

This last school year proved to be dramatic, interesting, and terrifying for its students. Like any high school, CCI has had its fair share of the petty dramas caused by students along with the ups and downs of boarding school life. But there have been other, darker, things to worry about.

Last school year, students went missing and creatures never known before were been spotted and attacked students before being captured. There are activists out in the streets of New Orleans currently trying to alert Muggles to the presence of evil Witches and Wizards. There is also a perplexing epidemic of missing socks.

Now, with another school year beginning, no one can know for certain what lies in wait for the students of CCI. Only time will tell what will happen, but there is one thing for certain. It will be an adventure.

Crescent City Institute is looking for students to enroll in the 2011-2012 school year.

All is Fair is a roleplaying community for fairy tale (and fairy tale-like) characters played on scribbld.

Set in the city of Haven, a self-contained retirement community for fairy tale characters finished with their original story. It's the age old, oft asked question: what happens after happily ever after? In Haven, fairy tales and their brethren get to answer the question any way they please.

At present this is something of a catch all community for fairy tale characters. Most plots will be player generated, but overarching plots can be introduced at player request.

Dresden Academy is a new model of magical education for young wizards and witches, hidden away from curious eyes in the beautiful Adirondacks of Upstate New York. Run by the Hulett family for as long as they've owned the town proper; the school is set to educate a new generation of talent. There is an undercurrent of political shift at Dresden. Jillian and Irene Hulett have been quietly tussling for control of the school. Jillian, the current headmistress is entirely unaware of the machinations which her sister may launch to wrest her position from her. Add to this that the New York Association of Wizards has decided to cut Dresden Academy's funding for the 2011-2012 school year. At present our headmistress, Jillian is struggling to figure out what to cut in order to save money. She'll be trying to trick staff into retiring, debate cutting some elective classes, and consider minimizing the sports program (quodpot, she's looking at you). Dresden Academy is a high school/university game for Original Characters set in the Harry Potter Universe. We're looking for players who like organic plots and can think outside of the sandbox. mind blast ~ Where anything can happen

	Mind-Blast.net is an RPG forum that caters for several different RPG Games at once. The idea of the forum is an emphasis on the roleplay itself rather than all the OOC bits and bobs. Members only need to apply to join the board itself rather than each individual game. Once their application has been approved they are free to join any game hosted here. It is then up to the members to create a character, post a character profile and following the rules of each game. There are no set timelines in the games, and members are catergorised 'Roleplay Grades' which show other members how many times they are able to post each week. This is so that RPers can roleplay at a pace that suits them with others that post at a similar pace. In other words; roleplay how you want to. This doesn't mean that there are no rules or guidelines here at Mind-Blast.net. The normal no powerplaying, god modding and other roleplaying ettiquette rules exist, and we maintain an intermediate to advanced level of writing. This means that Mind-Blast.net is not suitable for beginners. There will be a moderator per game to oversee the game, but otherwise the game is in the hands of the players themselves. Currently there are three active games at M-B.net and more will be added in the future. Members can petition to have a Game added to M-B.net at any time. One thing you will come to notice about the Games here; they always feature original characters. Even if a game is set in a fandom universe canon characters are not accepted. Dark Pretenses is an old game of mine that has reopened here on M-B.net. It is a supernatural/urban fantasy game set in the University of Reading, UK, and features original species and ideas. Celestial Illusions is an game based in the Anita Blake universe created by Laurell K Hamilton, featuring original characters and plot. 2005; New Orleans is struck by Hurricane Katrina. Considered the fifth worst natural disaster in the history of the United States, the hurricane claimed over a thousand lives, and caused over $81 billion dollars in damage. Reconstruction of the beloved port city would take years.

The vampires of the New Orleans coven - survivors of Queen Akasha's attempted genocide - were scattered. Some remained together, others traveled alone, but all were removed from the city that had become their home.

Present day; a few of the older vampires have returned to N.O. in an attempt to help with reconstruction. One such vampire is Marius de Romanus, posing as a man of wealth and leisure. He buys up properties, fixing them up and renting them to mortals. He also opens a book store and an art gallery, using both of these as a means by which to stay updated with the current day. He provides shelter for new vampires in the area, and seeks to recreate the city as it once was.

Slowly, the other vampires are returning as well, some through letters sent by Marius, some simply to see what has become of the city.

And some are drawn back by rumor. A myth that has been around for over 700 years speaks of a myriad of objects that can restore a vampire from monster to something closer to human. There has been little proof for this myth, and so many discount it - yet its telling persists. A local museum showing may offer more answers.

You are here, in New Orleans. Be you mortal or immortal (or something else entirely), you are welcome to join us in our quest - should it be for redemption, for immortality, or something else, we do not know. Each has their own motivation, each their own demons. Join us and find the truth.

	Where are you? No one knows. How did you get here? Not a clue. What you do know is that you fainted and woke up alone in the desert. You start to wander and are found by armed soldiers and are brought back to their base. An old man with a pale complexion and very long finger nails asks you questions, recording everything into a ledger. He nods and gives you a key, a smart phone and a netbook and sends you on your way. You are in Phoenix, Arizona where the locals tell you to sleep with one eye open. Now that He has you, strange things will happen. You might forget important dates or things you've done and then suddenly remember them days later. One day your abilities may work and the next they may not. They also may be completely switched with someone else. You never know what He's going to do or who he might bring in to torment you. The only thing you can count on here is that you'll never know who He is.

Think of any long-gone deity from mythology. Now imagine that they aren't truly gone but instead that their essence lives on...is reincarnated inside of that guy who sits next to you on the bus every day. Or Maureen from Accounting. Or maybe even inside of you.

The old deities once existed, once walked the Earth, and mortals trembled at their names. Long ago, they each slowly faded out, their existence only remembered as fables and tales. During this decline, one deity gathered up and called upon his or her last reserves of power and influence to create a reprieve, of sorts, for them all. They would find their essence--their souls if you will--not dissipated amongst the matter of the Universe but instead reborn inside a mortal body. The gods would be mortal, yes, their power would be greatly diminished, yes, and they might not even remember what they once were, but they would at least exist.

It has been nearly a hundred years since Jesus walked the Earth, a hundred years since God took offense at the man who was to become known as his son-. He was furious when he discovered he was a fallen angel, pretending to be human. An Angel who had transplanted memories into a family and a villiage of people so he would have a backstory. An Angel who was doing what he wanted, that went against the rules and regulations that Heaven functioned with.

A hundred years since Saetan took delight in God's fury and started a war between Heaven and Hell.

2010
Today, the war is still waging between Heaven and Hell. It has esculated in fury and has left not one Angel or Demon untouched by it. The only people who remain unaware of the war being faught around them are the Humans of Earth.

Except that is about to change.

Saetan, has cast his eyes onto the Human Race as a way to win the war against God and Heaven. A way to end this once and for all but God won't allow that to happen. Instead he sends his own people to Earth to go against the ones Saetan sent, ones to get the Humans to help him.

With the war spilling over to Earth and the Humans caught in the crossfire of the war, the question is what will happen now? Will they accept that Heaven and Hell are real? Will they participate in the war? If so which side? Will they stand united against Heaven and Hell or will they be split into sides of who to support?

Only time will tell.

Eligere is a Magical Boarding School game set on the coast of Oregon at a school for the Pureblooded Elite. In an effort to ensure the old lines and customs continue, arranged marriages are encouraged, something which the school fully supports with special classes for those involved in arranged marriages as well as special accommodations for the engaged upperclassmen at the school.

Proper lineage must be proven to gain admission to Eligere Institute, but we are accepting characters of all political affiliations - both those who support the purist ideals of the school and those who do not. We're looking for an even mix and lots of diversity within the Pureblooded magical population. Students also are not required to be a part of the Arranged Marriage Programme and we'd like a good mix of both those involved and those not involved. Anything goes, so long as your character is either Pure or Faking It.

We've moved to Scribbld from Inksome and are looking to re-open by December 21st, but in order to do that, we need a few more apps! Boys are especially wanted/needed, but anyone new characters are welcome!m
