WHO: Richard and Veronica
WHAT: OMFG CRISTINA IS A SLAVEDRIVER
WHERE: IT'S A SECRET
WHEN: FEB 15 BECAUSE FEB 14 IS TOO CLICHE

Richard wasn't very good at grand, sweeping gestures when it came to romance. When he was on the quidditch field, swinging himself around and risking danger -- that was different than standing in front of a beautiful woman. He'd never really seen his parents as romantic people, either -- they were too busy for their children, let alone for each other.

That's why he'd had to think long and hard about exactly how to do this thing that he was preparing for. He thumbed the box containing the ring in his pocket and let out a breath he hadn't been aware he was holding, straightening up and grabbing one of the large pink boxes that the delivery man he'd paid off said he was going to be taking into the bakery. He pulled five stuffed cupcakes out of his pack and put them into one of the boxes, placing the ring box in the front-centre hole inside an empty cupcake liner.

Then he pulled down his 'delivery boy' cap and headed up to the front door, ringing the bell and clearing his throat.

"Delivery, Miss Zeller!" He tried his best to disguise his voice, not wanting her to recognize him just yet. That wouldn't make for a very good surprise, now would it? He'd told Veronica he was heading out to the Cup a day early to make sure that he was fully prepared for dealing with his team, but that -- well, it had just been a flat-out lie.
