Jonathan!
Megan had made the decision last week, that Jonathan's birthday this year was going to have to be the best birthday of his life. Why was this year so special? Well, she'll tell you. This year was different, because not only had they all been witness to horrific tragedies, their family had been struck not once, but twice with these terrors of the war. First Jonathan's parents, and now Berkeley! Oh, Megan had liked him so much, and it pained her to leave Amelia alone at any time since the tragedy, but she couldn't leave her baby alone, and----and then Jonathan had to go and be in the middle of a death eater duel and---she could barely think about it!

There was no cake, because there wasn't going to be a party. Susan was spending the evening with her Carmichael grandparents, and the house was completely theirs. Even Roger had been put outside so he couldn't interrupt them like he so enjoyed doing lately.

Sigh. Megan pressed her back into the counter of the sink as she watched the clock wind down. She hadn't really meant that their evening would be ended if Jonathan was late, but her husband knew how much she liked her schedules, so she was expecting him to take the threat very, very seriously.

Jonathan!
Edgar was getting married! Oh, she still couldn't believe it (mostly because they were both so young, but! Love knew no boundaries, Megan liked to tell herself), and she'd been having far too much fun helping Mrs. Bones with things, along with meeting Gillian's parents, and, just---sigh. It was really nice. Megan was a natural planner, it was one of the things that made her a good teacher, so she of course volunteered her services! How couldn't she? Edgar was as good as her little brother (though she'd never say anything like that to Macon, even though he'd probably understand, but still. Merlin), and that meant Gillian would be like a sister, and, yes.

She had to help.

And it was next week. Exactly! Megan closed her journal with a snap and flounced to the kitchen, looking for the sprinkles to send to Amelia. It must be that time of the month---sometimes Megan could eat pudding and popcorn when that rolled around, so. She completely understood Amelia's cravings.

"Jonnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnathan," she called, frowning at the lack of St. Patrick's sprinkles. They should be sitting right between the Valentine's and Easter ones, but, there were nowhere to be seen. Her hands tugged her up a bit to look further into the cabinet, and Megan leaned back to call through the house again, "Jooooooooooooooonathaaaaaaaaaan!"
