Growing up as the youngest daughters of August and Marjorie Moracco, Ramona Moracco could easily be identified as one of the most spoiled children around. Born and raised in Burlington, Vermont, The Moraccos were known to be one of the more wealthier families living in the state's largest city. Since having the added benefit of such wealth and prestige, it was only acceptable for Ramona to be taught at some of the best schools that Vermont had to offer. She attended one of the most well known Performing Arts programs for high school, earning her diploma at the The Academy of Visual & Performing Arts at Essex High School. This created a great opportunity for Ramona, allowing her to be recognized by several performing arts colleges in New York; it also didn't hurt that with the help of her parents', she landed herself a top agent in New York, where she decided to study acting at Columbia University.
After only a semester, Ramona dropped from being a full time student, as she managed to land her first major role as Regina George in the 2004 teen comedy Mean Girls. The movie's popularity, along with its critical acclaim brought Moracco to the spotlight, one that carried over into her next film, 2005's star-studded Sin City. Over the next few years, Moracco would find herself alternating between teen comedies/teen oriented fare and horror films, getting her first exposure to the genre in 2007's All the Boys Love Mandy Lane, but it was her turn in the indy hit Pontypool which turned her into a genre favorite. Proving that she could not only play the role of scream queen well, she proved her worth in making people laugh in films like The House Bunny and even the horror/comedy Jennifer's Body. It was on the set of that film that she not only made waves as the leading lady, but her life was dramatically changed. Dispite their oil and vinegar personalities (along with rumored clashes on-set), she met co-star/future husband Nathan Illidge. The rumors of their clashing were notorious at the time, helping increase her reputation for being a "diva", the hype only further promoting the film. It wasn't until early 2010 that fans were stunned to find out that the pair had begun seeing one another. In July of 2010, the pair had quietly married in Toronto, Ramona announcing she would change her professional name to reflect her marriage, asking to be referred to as Ramona Illidge.
Over the past couple of years, Ramona has managed to find herself enjoying immensely crossover success, finding a mixture of teen and adult roles. Even as her star has continued to rise, one of the things Illidge has prided herself on is the fact that she has had control over her career and her image. Even with the occasional rumor of physical enhancement or diva-like behavior, Illidge has been in control of her own destiny. Having that much control and assurance has meant only one thing to her - that the sky is the limit.
