Jihoon is, in a word, optimistic. As long as he believes it's possible, it will happen. He also carries a large amount of confidence that borders on arrogance. Affable, charismatic and friendly, Jihoon flits through crowds and is willing to befriend anyone he meets. Though introspective and at times whimsical, he can also be pragmatic and judgmental. In his mind, his decisions are the correct ones, with little room for error. To women he can be an incorrigible flirt, but he strives to be a total gentleman.

HISTORY.
Jihoon Lee was born into wealth in Seoul, South Korea, his family belonging to one of the small but influential conglomerates in the city. As the first born son, Jihoon was treated like an heir apparent in a royal family-the best schools, expensive tutors, every want and need attended by the family staff. The only thing missing in his childhood was unconditional love. The members of his family also seemed to spot and cultivate weaknesses of their kin for their own gain. At 13, his father was transferred to run operations in the United States and opted to take his family with him. Choosing to commute to New York City while his family resided in an affluent suburb in Irvington. It was there that Jihoon had a chance to come into his own.

Middle school in Irvington, New York was a stark difference from his primary school. Instead of peers who avoided him while the rest attempted to befriend him for his wealth, most of his new classmates didn't know anything about his family. He was just the new kid from Korea, a pretense he gladly accepted. It didn't matter that his accent was thick or was suffering from severe culture shock-at the end of the day it was safe to say that his family probably had more money than most of well off peers. Far advanced in his studies thanks to his tutors, Jihoon became a class clown, usually spending his time in class entertaining. Though his teachers wished he would take his studies more seriously, he still managed to make decent grades in his classes. Over time, his thick accent faded away and was replaced with a regional one, though his native tongue was still preferred at home.

Heavily involved in sports since the day he could walk, Jihoon was active in basketball, baseball and soccer. The latter was his claim to high school fame, becoming caption of the team. It was also from playing sports that he found his best friend. In middle school the pair decided to learn dance--not to be graceful on the field as they told their friends, but as a plan to wow the ladies. On top of joining the local community dance school, they began to improvise at home, drawing most of their inspirations from what they could find on TV. Though they only had talent shows, recitals and school dances to actually show off their skills, the friends' whimsical hobby became a shared passion. By the time their senior year of high school rolled around, they were sneaking away on day trips to New York City to audition for dance companies. They knew that neither families believed that dancing would be a valid career, but they had to try.

It was Jihoon's 'backup plan' that led him to New Haven, Connecticut. He was accepted at the Yale University and declared Engineering with a minor in Economics. While he'd hoped to juggle his time between dancing and his studies, he found himself with little time for the former. The only reprieve from keeping up with his coursework and required reading was found in the school's theatre department. He participated in a majority of the productions on campus, large or small, though his real time to shine was during musical productions.

He remained active in with the Yale Cabaret until graduating from Yale in 2007. Through connections laid in place, he was not only placed in a comfy engineering position in his family's international business, his division responsible for telecom distribution and E,F & I installations for the Northeastern region of the United States.

FACTS
  • Jihoon works primarily from home. When not writing detailed specs or procuring materials, he is constantly traveling from central offices in the company's 'cluster' area, as well as visiting their warehouse located in Long Wharf.
  • He divides his time between New Haven and New York City. In NYC, he and his brothers (with the exception of Jihwan) share a penthouse condo near his family corporation.
  • Loves to sing and dance if given the opportunity. If there is ever a live mike night or a karaoke machine at a local bar, you would be hard pressed not to find him there.
  • Jihoon has poor vision and has to wear contacts or glasses. He owns multiple, stylish frames to where when he chooses not to bother with his contacts, though he will attest they are prescription-less if asked.
  • Regardless whether he is in his office, heading to the gym, dance club, or surveying a dusty central office, he can be counted on to be dressed stylishly. It is a rare occasion to see him in a worn pair of jeans. He's pretty certain he is going to stand out regardless, he might as well look good if someone is going to stare at him.
  • Got hooked into gaming by his best friend for life, though for years claimed he never saw the appeal. His favorite game at the moment is Skyrim (especially with the new DLC).
  • Has the appetite of 2 large people and can finish his plate in record speed. Is often timed by his friends.
  • Is fluent in Korean, English, French and knows 'some Spanish' (i.e. does not know as much Spanish as he thinks he does).
  • Learned how to apply makeup during his time in the Yale Cabaret (where he was often put in drag), and consequently is better makeup than his soon-to-be wife.
  • He his also a passionate costume enthusiast and Power Rangers collector.
  • His favorite shows are Arrested Development, Breaking Bad, Archer, Star Trek: TNG, Battlestar Galactica, MMPR and all of the spinoffs, any show on the Investigation Discovery channel and CSI
  • Jihoon dyes and cuts his hair often, saving his bolder color choices for when he knows he will not be in a professional setting.
