north salem high

High school is a tumultuous time for anyone, even when you're not developing super powers. At North Salem High School, supers and mutants intermingle with normal students. Some are terrified that people will discover their powers while others itch to show them off. Even with this diverse student body, no one has revealed themselves to be anything other than a normal human...yet. Those who work hard and receive top marks will have graduated with distinction from one of the highest ranked public schools in the nation. NSHS has a rigorous academic courseload and expects the best of its students. Those falling significantly behind will be assigned meetings with their appointed counselor and temporarily suspended from athletics.

The NSHS staff believes in educating their students in a wide range of fields in order to give them a well-rounded knowledge base before going off to college and careers. The course syllabus reflects this, providing a variety of courses for all grade levels in both the humanities and the sciences.

Juniors and seniors are allowed to park their cars in the school lot after registering their license number and paying $50 for a year-long permit which must hang from their rear-view mirror. Lunch is open campus.
