South Boston was home to thousands of people, and it was home to the Murphy family. Xander and Sandra Muprhy welcomed their second son, Connor, into the world April 20th, 1989. With an older brother, Carson, already out and raising hell just eighteen months before him, Connor followed step of his older brother. When Sandra was forced to take a job in a mail room of a business center, the brothers were mostly raised by their Grandparents Murphy. Grungeheads to the core, the Grandparents Murphy taught the two how to play the guitar and introduced them to classic music. While Connor enjoyed playing the guitar, he never had the same dedication as his older brother. Connor learned how to play piano as well, but playing music quickly became more of a hobby than a passion.

When Connor was seven, Xander bought up an old recording studio that was in foreclosure, and after snagging a few up and coming artists to record with him, they slowly started to built it back up. It became part of the Murphy life. Connor was there more than he was at home, but he didn't mind it. He found he preferred the behind the music aspect of music. Recording and mixing rather than getting into the nitty gritty of writing and composing. Sure, he had the skill, he just liked the other parts more. Sandra was given a job on an interview team out of New York City and Xander spent his time recording bands, Connor spent a lot of time with Carson, going with him to local gigs, shaking his head when his brother got up on stage, occasionally playing guitar for the bands their dad knew. They both knew that the music Carson was making wasn't going to be the current chart toppers but there was something different about it that made it good. Connor was trying not to be biased and found he had to remove himself from the creation half of his brother's music to have an unbiased ear.

As the boys grew older, they grew closer. Their parents were always busy with work and the two had to take care of each other. When Carson would roll back home after a night out at a club or bar doing a show with cuts and bruises from fighting, Connor would try to patch him up, at least as long as he could get Carson to hold still. It went both ways though. When Connor turned sixteen he found himself with a Harley Davidson Electra Glide and learning to ride it, Connor's ended up with a couple large patches of road rash scars that Carson's had to patch up. After a handful of months on the bike he had gotten really good at it and he brought it with him to Connecticut. Connor has an appreciation for classic muscle cars like his brother's 1957 Chevy Impala, but he likes the compact neatness of his Harley more.

It was the summer before his junior year of high school that Connor and Carson made the trek to Connecticut. Sandra and Xander were often in separate cities and even if they were in the same city, they were too busy to spend a lot of time with their sons. The decision was made that the brothers would move to Haloford, Connecticut to live with Xander's parents. While their marriage continued to work, Xander and Sandra decided it wasn't fair to their sons that they weren't the responsible parents, there to offer guidance and actually be parents to them. Connor wasn't pleased with the move. He enjoyed his life in Boston, he loved living in a busy metropolitan and the idea of moving to a much smaller city had little appeal to him. He didn't have a choice in the matter though, so sucking it up and usually keeping silent, Connor packed his things and loaded up, moving north.

Moving to Haloford offered a new opportunity for Connor though. Since he wasn't going to be spending a majority of his time at a recording studio, there was a chance for Connor to take advantage of a swimming team of Haloford High School. Swimming was Connor's favorite sport to play. He'd never really considered himself to be the best swimmer he'd ever met, but when he tried out for the swim team at the high school, he was almost immediately offered a place in as one of the 4x200 M Free swimmers. Being part of the swim team got Connor out of his shell and offered him a chance to meet new people in the first few weeks of being in Connecticut.

Carson and Connor lived across the street from their grandparents, and for a while, it was just the two of them. Soon after they'd arrived in Haloford and their senior and junior years started, Carson had reconnected with fellow Bostonian, Jackie Kennedy. Connor knew her, though he hadn't spent as much time with her and never got to knew her was well as Carson. He knew his brother though. Carson had been in love with Jackie for years, and Connor had been on the receiving end of many threats and bruises if he ever mentioned it to the girl. Only a handful of weeks in, and Jackie moved in with the Murphy boys, Jackie and Carson starting a relationship. Connor liked her well enough, she made his brother happy, even if the two of them fought a lot, they loved each other.

Connor soon met a woman he'd grow to love as well. Farren Morreau. She was a year older than him, but due to being home schooled she had graduated high school early and when he met her she was actually student teaching at the school, the two had run into each other in the halls by accident and a spark had emerged between them. She was a source of sanity and kindness that he didn't always get at home. Connor began to spend more and more time with Farren.

At the end of his junior year, there was a bit of separation anxiety that Connor had to deal with. All his life he'd been with Carson, his older brother guiding him and giving him a model to be like. Simply put, Carson was his idol. But after graduation, Carson and his band Frisk got picked up to tour. Jackie, who was as attached at the hip to Carson as Connor was, went with him. For two years, Connor didn't see much of his brother, at least in person. It wasn't the easiest thing for Connor to deal with. It had felt a little bit like he was missing half of himself. Most of his senior year, Connor had an identity crisis. He had swimming, he still had Farren, he just wasn't entirely sure what else he was, at least who he was on his own without his brother. It was during his senior year that Connor realized he wanted to spend time with his brother, just not on the front stage of music. He started to take classes relating to music production.

After high school, Connor decided to go the college route. Attending The University of Connecticut Greater Hartford, he went the route of a double major, in Music and Business, intending to follow in his father's footsteps and become a music producer.

Carson and Jackie came back from tour after two years, the two intent on starting a life together. Connor was happy for the two of them, but maybe was a little bitter. He loved his brother and he adored Jackie, but he resented her just a little because she'd taken his brother away from him. The two had a strained though respected relationship, Connor just always felt like he'd been shoved aside. He began to spend more and more time with Farren because of it. A handful of months after Carson had gotten back into Haloford, Connor was told his older brother wanted to open a branch of their father's studio, Bacchante Records. Maybe silently resentful his brother had the means and time to open a study, Connor stood beside him. He'd always be there for his big brother. This time it meant being a co-owner and being the man at the sound boards.
