BIOGRAPHY
parents had her at 16 lalala
Growing up, Eleanor was always Daddy's little princess (and really, still is to this day). She absolutely adored him, and it was obvious that the feeling was entirely mutual. She would throw the biggest fits if she was away from him for more than fifteen minutes or so, and it wasn't really something that got better the older she got. It became pretty commonplace for her to tag along to his work, as she was always rather well behaved, just sitting in some corner out of everyone's way. She wound up being a staple almost in Nathaniel's workplace, always drawing pictures for the other people he was around. Despite having a very girlish name, however, she was always a bit boyish. She would wear dresses and skirts just fine, and she loved playing dres up as much as any other youngster would, but she was always a little more interested in zooming around on her little broomstick and playing in the mud than she was sitting inside learning how to cook or dreaming about being a princess.
To be honest, she wound up being quite the spoiled brat. What Eleanor wanted, Eleanor got, or you'd have hell to pay for it - and the fact that her father practically catered to her every whim did nothing to curb that. He couldn't - or wouldn't - deny her much of anything, and she knew full well that if she whipped out her perfectly sad puppy pout, he was putty in her hands. She wasn't stupid, after all. She was perfectly content with the way her life was going, up until she received her acceptance letter to Hogwarts. Most children are pretty damn excited when they find out they get to go away to a magical wizarding school away from their parents to make new friends, but Eleanor threw the biggest fit she'd ever thrown in her life. She cried and begged and pleaded with her father not to make her go, and while he might have initially caved had his parents not still been very involved in Eleanor's life, his mother convinced him that Eleanor needed to go. She insisted that Eleanor needed to get away, that she was becoming much too attached to him, and it might turn into something that hurt her social life. Eleanor had never been a particularly social girl - she was always very shy and very quiet, preferring to just stick with her father as opposed to venturing out and making friends.
Her first year at Hogwarts was a disaster. She wasn't doing well in any of her classes because she was too busy being a spoiled brat, and she was constantly owling home, begging Nathaniel to come and get her - that she could be home tutored, or something. She had been sorted into Slytherin, and it wasn't as though many of the people in the house were particularly sympathetic. She spent the entire summer before her second year crying and begging and whining and moaning, but when she returned for her second year, things perked up. She made a couple friends and started actually enjoying herself, and the depressing letters dwindled to about the occasional owl every couple weeks or so. Her real joy came when she tried out for the Quidditch team her third year. The previous seeker had graduated, and she beat out dozens of other older players for the spot. She spent the next few months absolutely beaming, and she showed a real talent for the spot.
