Please stay active! Our update limit is every 3 weeks, but we're not exactly going to object if you choose to update more frequently! We'll also need to you to check the magazine community at least once a month - that's where we'll be posting everything, from what the next months theme is going to be to which staff member the interns are going to be shadowing. We will need those playing executive characters or personal assistants to check in at least every two weeks as you are playing the characters that should really have a good presence around the office and should probably know what's going on! But don't worry, that just means you need to be seen about and active, not necessarily posting an update.

If you take a writing position, it's important that you keep up with it! Writers and columnists will need to keep their directors (or the editor in chief if there isn't a director for their department) up to date with what their character is going to be writing about. Please note that you do not actually have to write these articles, but please give us a brief description once a month so we can make sure everyone knows about it. If you do want to actually write up the articles then you are more than welcome to, and there will be a community for you to post them in - that's optional, though!

It's equally important to stay active if you take up a department editor position! We'll need you to help set themes - and if your character is the sort to just dictate articles, we'll need you to do that as well. It's only once a month so it shouldn't be too much hassle, really all you need to do is collect the descriptions from your team members and send them on to the editors. Again, if you want to actually do your editorial write up then you can! Please do keep in mind that if you take up an editor position that we would prefer it if we see your character at least on a weekly basis. Of course we don't expect you to dedicate your life to this game, but we will be expecting you to be as active as possible as you'll have your own team of columnists, writers and interns to talk to wherever possible! Don't worry if you can't check in every day, but however much you can will be appreciated.

Please keep your characters age appropriate. The executives are not going to be 16! Positions such as the accountants will need the appropriate qualifications and therefore be of the appropriate age. Writers etc will not need degrees (though it's expected that at least a few of them will have!) but they'd still need to have some sort of experience - not everyone would get a magazine job straight out of high shool! We're versatile on many positions, but any leading roles will definitley need to have experience, some kind of special talent, or at the very least, be a close friend or family member of someone who has been a higher up at some point in time! Do feel free to leave us a message to check over your ideas and make sure it's all fit, we're happy to help you out.

One biography and one scene example is required in order to apply for this community. If you would like your biography to be in bullet point format that's fine, just please make sure they're detailled. Your scene example does not have to be as the character you are applying as and can be in any format you want. If you are new or lack examples, feel free to just go ahead and make one up. We're only interested in your replies, we don't need to see anyone elses. If you would like to apply as a columnist, please also submit a short blurb on what their column is going to be about.

We're happy to allow your character to have career progression within the game - for example, for a fashion intern to move up to become a fashion writer. If the space is free, please just ask us to change roles. If all places are full, please just leave us a note telling us you'd like your character to move up as a place becomes available. If we agree, we'll switch your role as soon as a place becomes free.
