PERSONALITY
When one takes a good, searching look at Charles Bradley, they’ll get an eye full. Optimistic and having a deep seeded love for freedom in many forms, he has an excellent sense of humor. He is also someone you’ll see smiling more often than not. Why? Because he believes a smile can, at times, not only act as a good defense but also a good offense. Smile when it’s expected and bring about a social and approachable persona, and smile when its unexpected to throw off those who try to get under your skin. That’s how he goes about it.

Though, as much as he tries to follow that little bit of personal advice he’s not always successful, since he is an extroverted personality more than introverted. His emotions and facial features are more honest than not, so even though a smile is in place, there will be other facial indicators as to how his true reaction really is.

He is also in possession of a quick mind, able to follow along and grasp deeper topics of conversation, which many do not expect of him since his active and playboy ways tend to make him seem not as ‘sharp’ as he is. And, of course, there is also the fact he doesn’t show that side of himself off too much. Only enough to have given himself a blue band on his suit.

Charles also has the bad habit of being careless at times, in words, and occasionally in fighting (when he’s not taking his opponent seriously). He is also a blunt sort that will say what he thinks a lot of the time, and most of the time? He means nothing ill by doing it… he’s just not too good with thinking his words through before saying them. Almost like his mind is moving on too fast and disregards certain things in the process.

Other rather negative qualities that he is very much guilty f is that he can be, well, quite tactless. He is also a bit on the superficial side. Sure, personality and connections matter to him, but he tends to gravitate towards those pleasing to the eye first and considers connections second. He’ll even begrudgingly admit that about himself. However, a strong work ethic and willpower to succeed are part of his redeeming qualities.

BIOGRAPHY
In the years before Charles Bradley was born two people met and intertwined their lives in order to bring about his. Jordan Bradley was an Airman First Class in the United Americas military, an ace Mecha pilot with a good deal of potential, and Christine was the daughter of a wealthy technological exec. Anyone who saw the two together agreed that theirs had to be a love match. After all, as god as he was and though the promise of rising quickly in Military rank… Jordan was not from a wealthy or prestigious family.

Only eight months after meeting they were married, against the will of Christine’s father. Maybe the fact she was two months pregnant had something to do with the quick, low-key marriage, but to look at them was to see how much they truly wished for this marriage, and the child she carried in her womb. And Six months after their marriage, Charles Morgan Bradley, named for Jordan’s deceased father, was born into the world.

The family was a perfect as families tend to be. They had their problems, of course. Jordan worked hard, going off even when he could deny a request for his services, all to rise quickly to make a good life for his family, which left Christine alone with their son most of the time. And their lack of funds did not help much either in her case, since her father refused to help them out at all financially (not that Jordan would have accepted). So there were fights, not that the growing Charles would ever remember.

In Charles mind, up until the death of his father when he was nine years old, their family had been a good one filled with happiness as finally his father was rising to the top. Charles idolized his father, and in his eyes there was no better man in the world. Then the news came. The official news was that while 1st Lieutenant Jordan Bradley was assisting in a training session cadets in a simulation machine when something went wrong with the machine one of the cadets was using. Rushing over without a thought, he pulled the cadet out and pushed him to safety at the expense of his own life.

The news devastated Jordan and Christine. And up until the firing squad sounded and the casket was lowered, he refused t believe his father was gone. That was when he truly mourned the loss of the greatest male figure to ever enter his life.

Sadly, though, that would not be the greatest obstacle for Charles to move past. Unknown to Charles, his maternal grandfather pressured Christine into remarrying quickly after the death of her husband, and for a few months she held out. But she could see that the money left to her and Charles by Jordan would not be enough for them to live on forever. So, before a year passed after the death of Charles’ father, Christine remarried a fellow widower, and an older man at that. Gregory Myles was a Doctor with two children from a wife that had died years before due to unforeseeable complications in childbirth.

Charles would never really forgive his mother for remarrying so soon after the death of his father, and never accepted Gregory into the role of father in his life. And while at first he held himself apart from his step-siblings they soon grew on him, and by the time their half-sister was born he was seeing them more and more as actual siblings.

Still, the tension at home, with him and his mother and step-father, was an ever present thing. So when Charles demanded to be allowed to attend The Michael Powell Prepatory Academy, in preparation for attending Ganymede Academy, it didn’t take as much to convince his mother to allow him to do so. It was agreed on that the schooling itself would be paid for by Gregory (which had grudgingly awarded him points with Charles) and that the money left behind by Jordan would be used for the things Charles might need or want during his schooling and after.

And once Charles was at the Prepatory Academy, only just barely better off than the scholarship students money-wise, he ‘blossomed’, so to say. Out from under the tension and mixed up feelings of being at the Myles home, he came into his own. His personality morphed and became pleasant once more and he exorcised his own demons in the form of diving into his prep work with an almost single minded purpose, and focused on his goal. The goal that had been sitting in the back of his mind ever since he could remember; to be a Mech Pilot like his father.

And so he left the Prepatory Academy behind and entered into Ganymede Academy. In his two years there within the Academy he began to mature, losing more of his boyish naivety as he gained experience, forcing himself to take everything about the Academy serious, and taking extra special care of his Mecha. His goal for graduation? Be accepted into Squad A.
