PROFILE

BIOGRAPHY
Holly Inez Wheeler Frass was born in Newark, New Jersey on October 30, 1979 to James Frass and Antonia Wheeler, a guitarist and a psychologist, respectively. Raised in a conservative Baptist home, she had two older brothers and one younger sister, all raised primarily by their Father while Antonia was the main bread winner. At age five, Holly read for the role of Rudy on The Cosby Show and got the part, one that just a year later earned her an Emmy nomination for best supporting actress (she became the youngest ever to be nominated). After her parents’ divorce in 1990 and the end of The Cosby Show in 1992, Holly and her Father moved to Atlanta, Georgia where he quite successfully pursued music full time.

Taking a break from acting, Frass decided to take her Father’s advice and focus on school. “You gotta grab life by the balls and keep your grades and your drawers up.” She attended a performing arts school for three years. It wasn’t until she graduated at 17 that she received a call requesting she audition for a new role on the hit TV show Boy Meets World.

Holly did three seasons playing ‘Angela’ on the show, though she was never quite free of being recognized for anything other than the beloved child star. Wanting to stray from the image, she began working the open-mic nights as a comic and taking smaller less noticeable guest spots on television. That along with voiceover work helped her become a working actor without the notoriety (for which she was thankful for).
