rules
1. Do not cross the IC/OOC line. Do not God Mod the actions or feelings of characters that aren't yours. Just because you know something OOC, does not mean your character automatically knows it by extension. If an OOC issue arises, please handle it maturely and/or contact the mods for a resolution. Be a grown up.

2. Participate and branch out. This game is very thread-centric, as we want to foster a sense of community and make sure every writer feels involved -- that means scenes must be posted publicly in the threading community in order to count toward activity, and customs are strongly discouraged. Have a suggestion or an idea regarding plot? Share it! Have a line you want filled? Post it in a comment on this post for others to peruse and consider.

3. Please update at least once every two weeks, be it by journal entry or scene. We will not be policing the length of your updates -- make entries and scenes as long or as short as you deem appropriate. However, please post something or reply to a thread within a week once you've joined the game to show us that you're participating and serious about interacting with the other players.

4. Journal names must be in-character. This means it should be a variation of their first and/or middle and/or last name.

5. Everyone is allowed to play three characters, total. This is subject to change later on. Because the gender ratio is typically uneven in RP, you are not permitted to play two female characters if they're the only two characters you have in play.

6. Because we want to keep the cast list fairly small, every incoming character must be connected to at least one other character at the time that they apply. However, the story lines must be something substantial -- no throwaway lines like "he sat behind her in grade 11 biology", or, "they went on one date six years ago".

7. As far as biographies are concerned, we won't ask for novels. A couple of paragraphs or ten bullets will suffice just fine -- just as long as you provide enough information to give us a decent grasp on who your character is. Please also have some sort of contact post in your character's journal.

8. Please keep your PBs' ages realistic. Don't add or subtract more than five years to/from their actual age. On that note, most people aren't business owners at 25 years old. Please keep this in mind.

9. We will be capping the game at 12 characters, at which point the only way new members will be able to join is by picking up a specific line posted on the wanted board, or if an existing member drops out.

10. As of 06/23, we no longer accept holds. Simply apply with your character when their bio is complete. In the event that we receive two applications vying for the same played-by at the same time, the applicant who provided the better biography and examples will get the face. However, if the other applicant still has a solid biography, they will be given the option to select a different played-by. Please keep this in mind when applying, and have an alternative face in mind to fall back on, just in case. If your application is deleted, it was rejected. Sorry.
