relationships/love life.
Just because he could have easily classified as a "nerd", Will wasn't a walking cliche when it came to the opposite sex. He did happen to lose his virginity a bit late, comparatively, but he never felt inadequate or strange because of it. His women problems have always been fairly low because there was a lack of passion in his life for quite a while. Not to mention most people assumed he was asexual. Will was just the convenient, stable guy - the type women considered when the interesting guys in their lives stressed them out. He dated girls that could have been his female equivalent: plain, quiet girls who had a basically clear idea of where they were going, what they were doing and what their limits were. Will liked the control these women displayed, because he liked control himself. He may have been somewhat egotistical in that respect. Then he met Andrea. And though he'll always call her by her actual first name, she's definitely more so a "Skip", for she's vibrant and amusing in addition to intelligent and compassionate. Yet it didn't work out because Will thought and perhaps still thinks that the idea of having children is somewhat ridiculous.

family/general info.
William Bryman grew up in Suffolk County on Long Island, New York. His father, William Bryman Sr. was mostly a no-show in his younger years, working as a forensic dentist. It was a job that required a lot of travel, but the money was good. It put Will through his first two years of college at NYU, where he majored in English Literature with a minor in creative writing. It wasn't a "practical" career choice, but for someone who'd checked out nearly every book at the library his mother worked at, Will had always known he was bound to end up working with words.During his latter years of college, he'd had to work part-time to fund his education. Will chose the mail room of a now defunct non-profit newspaper, because he could basically sit around all day. This meant he was able to focus on his classes and still make a pay check. This was the point in which he thought he wanted to write articles himself, so Will became an assistant at that particular office, though it didn't last long. It did, however, give him opportunity to speak to several people about their positions and gain more insight on what he would do once he actually graduated. At 22, that day came sooner than he thought and Will had no idea of what to do with his degree. He hadn't lived a particularly rich life and had no interesting story to tell of his own, but he knew he wanted to do something with writing. Will wasn't qualified for any major position, but he was able to get on at Random House Publishing rather quickly. With no experience and little skill, this meant he ended up as a slush pile reader, going through an endless stack of manuscripts from mostly bad writers. Fortunately, he had a knack for picking out a winner and this eventually led him to a shared office despite his title remaining the same. At 28, while Will was attending school a second time for his master's degree, something great happened for him. Room opened up for an agent, and with his years of hard-earned experience, networking and contacts, he could get most good writers a small deal with his company. Furthering his education seemed needless at this point, but he vowed he'd finish what he started. He's still, in fact, telling himself that. Lately, Will considers opening up an office of his own, but figures, why mess with a good thing? His personal life hasn't been as non-dramatic as his professional one. Will lost his father in 2008 to cancer and his mother currently lives with him in Manhattan. On the romance end, he's a divorcee, his marriage lasting a breath or two. However, although he met his wife on a dating site, he'd never say their connection was any less genuine than if they'd originally met in person. He still loves her, and this is perhaps why he won't move further than literally next door from her. Or more accurately, across the hall.
