Details Location: Ron and Hermione's house. Date: 12 November 2006. Time: Ceremony at 4:00pm, reception at 5:00pm. Decorations: Breaking Dawn theme. (Yes, we did. It's beautiful! That's what you get when two Twihards plan this. We wanted it to be very romantic and magical. The reception will have the same theme.) Color Scheme: Silver and light blue, with scarlet and gold as secondary colors. Bride's Bouquet: Red and white. Bridesmaids' Bouquet: Light blue and white. Bridesmaids' Attire: Here with the ribbon in silver. Groom's Boutonniere: Red and white. Groomsmen Boutonniere: Light blue and white. Groomsmen Attire: Vests - Blue, Ties - Silver. Maid of Honor: Ginny Weasley. Bridesmaids: Luna Lovegood, Fleur Delacour-Weasley. (Not required, but they were approached.) Best Man: Harry Potter. Groomsmen: Neville Longbottom, Seamus Finnigan. (Not required, but they were approached.) Giving Hermione Away: Harry Potter. Floating Lanterns Unlike most weddings, there will be no throwing of rice and/or confetti. At the start of the reception after the bride and groom are introduced for the first time as Mr. and Mrs., they will begin the floating lanterns section. Each table will be equipped with one lantern for each person, and quills will have also been placed on each table. Every guest will be asked to write the name of a loved one (or more!) who is unable to be present on this day. Whether it is due to death or other circumstances, Ron and Hermione wanted to be sure that even though they are not able to attend in person that they be included in their special day in some way. Once everyone has written on their personal lantern, an enchantment will raise them into the sky and keep them levitated there until the end of the reception when they will be released into the night air. The moment they break through the protective charms that conceal the Ron and Hermione house from any dark forces, they will disintegrate. They will not be visible to anyone who is not attending the wedding. Wedding Reception Food: Hogwart's Feast. Cake Flavors: One tier will be vanilla cake with raspberry filling, and the following tier will be chocolate cake with chocolate mousse filling. Cake Design: Red and white. First Dance Song: Classic, romantic wizarding song. (We didn't want to pick a Muggle song that was out in/prior to 2006, as they wanted everyone to be able to recognize the song. For this reason we decided not to dictate exactly what it was.) Climate: There will be an enchantment placed over the entire venue to control the temperature and keep it comfortable for everyone.
