Biography
|
Janice Lynette was born on December 28, 1967 to Patricia and David Marvin in Glendale, California. With no siblings Janice, or Jana as her family and friends would call her, had a normal upbringing. Her father was a officer in the Navy and her mother stayed home with her. Soon the family moved to New York City because that's where Jana's father was from there and he was finally out of the Navy to move back home. Then the problems started happening. Patricia started having really bad mood swings. When she went to the doctor the found out she had brain cancer, Jana was too young to comprehend what was going on so she played with the neighborhood children. But on February 12, 1974 after 3 years of chemo and increasingly bad mood swings, Patricia passed away. Jana was numb to the situation. She was hurt but happy because the constant yelling hurled at her by her mother was finally over. David was upset and didn't remarry until Jana was 14 to a woman named Connie. She came with two children, Dwayne and Sandy. Jana took to her new siblings quickly. However she didn't take to Connie and instead of calling her mom she called her Connie and continues to this day.
When it came to schooling, Jana loved science and animals. She declared that she wanted to be a marine biologist when she grew up. She excelled in her classes and was on honor roll. Things quickly changed after she met Brian Andrews her junior year of high school. He was her first love. She fell hard and fast for him. He was a rebel and didn't go to school often, so pretty soon Jana wouldn't go to school and just hang out with him all day. When it came to graduate high school, she was 2 credits shy and she dropped out. She moved in with Brian and then more problems began. He was seeing his former girlfriend on the side named Judy, who he already had a son with. Then after a bad fight with Jana, over the fact that Judy was having a daughter who was also Brian's, Brian packed his things and as he was pulling out of the driveway, Jana told him he was pregnant with his child. It fell upon deaf ears. Jana was working at Zantigo's at the time. This is where she met Sasha Harkov, who she would eventually marry. After a couple months of dating, the two moved in together.
On May 12, 1987 Pippa Elizabeth Marvin was born at 8:59pm. Jana was excited for her daughter but hated the pain that she wasn't Sasha's, which would cause strain on their relationship. Sasha loved the little girl as his own as well. Jana loved her daughter to shreds and constantly spoiled her. Then in February of 1991, Jana found out that she was pregnant once again and on January 13, 1991 Derek Thomas was born. She was excited to have two children and once she was able to go back to work, she went back to working at her new job at Rax. On December 8, 1991 Jana and Sasha were married. She worked there up until her children were in high school. She worked there part time. She volunteered at the kids' school PTA and kept on her children about their grades. The one she had most problems with was Derek, who was struggling with his grades and had to take speech classes. Pippa excelled in school and got invited to go places due to her academic prowess. It was then in 1992 that she gave birth to twins, Twin A and Carrie.
Jana decided to go back to night school and get her GED because she told Roger to do the same. In 2006, a year after Pippa graduated high school, Jana herself walked across the stage and finally graduated with Sasha and Pippa in the audience. Jana applied to the local community college and decided to go for respiratory therapy. She also had gotten a job at Metropolitan Hospital Center. Things were really looking up Jana but tragedy struck once again in August when Twin A, who had taken to hanging out with the wrong crowd was killed in a shooting that was the end result of gang violence. Jana was depressed, her hours at work got cut and she dropped out of college. On September 12, 2011 she announced that she was moving out and getting a divorce from Sasha. So far, not much contact has been had between her and her children, especially Pippa who lives with Sasha.

On the outside, Jana is pretty outgoing and friendly. She loves her family and her friends. She always makes sure that everyone is taken care of one way or another, whether it being needing a place to crash or needing a shoulder to cry on. She loves going out and having a blast and is usually the life of the party. She's extremely loyal to the friends she has.
On the inside, Jana likes to keep mostly to herself. She dreams of working at a hospital and helping people and curing them of their conditions since she can't seem to figure out her own issues. She also is constantly seen in her car and when she's not in her car, is at the gym, working, or shopping for shoes.
When you meet Jana you'll realize she's very free spirited and kind hearted. She always has a smile on her face and never seems to frown. When you catch her while she's by herself, she seems like she's in her own world and at peace.

love & relationships
Love and relationships in Jana's life have been kind of limited. She dated Brian Andrews for a short few years until he ran off with his ex girlfriend. She met Sasha and pretty much he was it for her. The two were married and raised their children until the twins were in their senior year and the oldest was shot and killed. She blamed Sasha and herself everyday. She continued to blame Sasha and it that raised even more tension between the two. Finally Jana left and is fighting for a divorce and going out into the world of dating is going to be a whole new world for her.
