personality
SIGN: Virgo
PERSONALITY: Nicole is outgoing and full of passion for life. She has always been spontaneous and up for anything. It's no secret that she would rather go skydiving than sit on the couch.

She has a select group of friends whom she has known for years, and finds it difficult to trust when branching out with new people. Nicole would rather play it safe in her personal relationships as to avoid any potential betrayal or heartbreak. As such, she has held on to certain people throughout her entire life because she knows just what to expect from them. The center of her world is comprised of her closest friends and she is happy to offer a shoulder to lean on whenever it's called for.

Nicole has a tendency to get wrapped up in drama, as she goes to bat for those she loves and isn't afraid to stick her nose where it doesn't belong. She is unafraid of confrontation and can argue until she's blue in the face and then some.

biography

Dominique Bardot and Charles Westbrook entered into a marriage of convenience in 1971. Charles was spellbound by Dominique’s beauty, while Dominique was head over heels for Charles’s bank account and his ability to get her a green card. Although the two lived in separate worlds for the most part, Nicolette’s birth in 1979 brought them back to a common ground of sorts. Charles, a workaholic for most of his life, was happy to take time off from work for the first time in years to allow himself time with his daughter during her first few months. Dominique, although amused by the opportunities to dress her little one up in lace and ribbons, was most excited for her little girl to grow. She had plans to cultivate her into a refined, talented young lady and having to wait to put those plans into action was most depressing. Dominique’s two oldest children were already following a strict regimen, and she was looking forward to Nicole joining the ranks. As Nicole grew older, Dominique began to monopolize her time with piano and dance lessons. Her mother even made it a rule that she was to exclusively speak French, her mother’s native language, when at home. Charles, continuously annoyed at his wife’s attempts to mold their daughter into the perfect little girl, instead indulged her in baseball, ice cream and mud pies.

Although Dominique continuously pushed her own interests on her daughter, Nicole didn’t start to resent her mother until high school. She wasn’t allowed to do any of the typical high school things, but it didn’t take long before she started to rebel. She became a pro at sneaking out – though most of the time her father was happy to give her permission to go out. He preferred giving her a little leeway and knowing where she was as opposed to using too strong of a hand and losing track of her completely. Moving into the dorms to attend NYU as a Creative Writing major was a godsend for Nicole. It was a relief to escape her mother’s clutches, and she fully enjoyed her freedom. Her years at University were a blur of dates in the City, alcohol binges, art museums and makeup. She graduated with honors and immediately after pursued a Masters in Creative Writing at Columbia.

As daddy's little girl, Nicole's graduation present was a beautiful apartment on the Upper East Side of Manhattan. It was a difficult transition from spoiled brat to maturing renter in the City and Nicole regularly called home for advice - often getting that as well as short lessons in money management and adult responsibilities. Eventually her father's wisdom sunk in far enough that life on her own became less of a matter of sink or swim and more of a financial pain in the ass. No matter how old she got it would always irk her that the amount of rent she paid would be much better spent at Nordstrom.

Over the years Nicole has taken her fascination with love and relationships and turned it into a lucrative career. Since 2006 she has held a position as a columnist in a popular New York City newspaper. As of late she has also begun to write her first book about life and love in the City. Her career has blossomed as time has progressed, and although her mother outwardly disapproves of her "airing her dirty laundry" she is secretly proud of her daughter. Her father, as always, remains her number one supporter.

Nicole maintains a close relationship with her family, and even when she is being treated with tough love she appreciates their presence in her life. Since reaching adulthood, Nicole and her siblings had managed to alienate their mother from their lives. But as much as Nicole resented her for trying to shorten her childhood with lessons in refined taste, she was eager to repair her relationship with her for the sake of making peace. Not for lack of trying on Nicole's part, it has been a long and bumpy ride and the pair have quite the distance to go before making it through a day together without disagreement. Her father, on the other hand, remains the rock in her life. His support and love has never waned throughout the years and Nicole’s appreciation for his presence in her life has only grown.

In 2000, Nicole was introduced to _____ through a mutual friend. One of Nicole's closest friends was throwing a party in the Hamptons that the two happened to both be invited to. Her sexual attraction to him was obvious, but she was also attracted to his mysterious quality. After another run-in in the City, he asked her out and, though she played hard to get at first, she said eventually yes. Their relationship first ended in heartbreak in 2002 after it became clear that he was incapable of true commitment. Though Nicole swore it was over, the two eventually got back together only to start a vicious cycle of break ups and make ups over the next eight years. For now the two have decided to attempt a friendship, though there is no telling how long that will stick. Regardless of their tumultuous history it is becoming blatantly clear that the two will never be without the other for too long.

love and relationships
JOHN O'NEIL - John and Nicole were high school sweethearts. Nicole's mother was convinced he was the one and badgered Nicole regularly about whether or not he had gotten down on one knee and proposed yet. Unfortunately for Nicole, as soon as John left for University he discovered the last thing he wanted to do was marry her. In fact, he wasn't even interested in dating her anymore. Soon after he broke things off with her he started dating a guy he had met in one of his classes and embraced his sexuality freely for the first time. The two are now married, have adopted a child and Nicole visits frequently. John is the only ex she has managed to maintain a close friendship with, and she is honored to be the godmother of his child.
_____ ______ - After a few years on the dating scene, Nicole met _____ through a mutual friend. He was her first serious relationship after John, and he has remained a seemingly permanent fixture in her life as the two have dated on and off for eleven years. Their relationship was something of a fairy tale at first and commitment with a man that was both intelligent and charming was a tempting concept. However, the subject of commitment between the two of them managed to abruptly end their relationship when it became clear he was only interested in casual dating. Despite the arguments, break ups and other people, there remains a strong attraction between them - both sexually and emotionally. And although Nicole would like nothing more than to move on from a man who refuses to give in to the commitment she so desperately craves, she can't help but keep coming back.
SUNNY LUCIANO - Sunny first swept Nicole off her feet six years ago. The two met randomly at a club in the City and became inseparable. He spoiled her endlessly and she drank every bit of it up as a woman on the rebound. He was a man with taste and charm, and he wasn't afraid to gift her with expensive dates, jewelry or shoes - what wasn't to love? Eventually his shine wore off when Nicole discovered his dubious business activities. The two broke it off, though he still calls from time to time to get together.
DAMIAN BARKER - Damian was Nicole's first attempt at a fully functional, "normal" relationship. The two managed to date seriously for a year before the pressure of marriage, children and family life scared Nicole off. As desperately as she wanted a touch of domesticity in her life, she resented Damian's insistence that she put her career on the backburner. A true believer that women can have love, family and success in their career, Nicole's desires just didn't jive with Damaian's traditional mindset.
