first and foremost, thank you for your interest in ~parkerhome. this is not a first come, first serve community. examples and a biography are required. your biography can be in the form of at least three (3) detailed paragraphs or 20 detailed facts. for examples, we are looking for at least two (2) scenes and (1) journal entry. challenges are not accepted. aim is not required to join our community, however having some sort of ooc contact post is. the mods will use your contact post when there is something we need to make you aware of and PMs are not always reliable. journals must have your characters name in it, and nothing more. please refrain from underscores and x's. aim names, if you choose to have one, should be related to your character, having their name in it somewhere. we accept most played-by faces. if you have any questions at any time, simply stop by our drop box. there is a thin line between ic and ooc. this line is not to be crossed under any circumstances. if you have a problem with someone in an ic manner, do not take it out on the player. there are plenty of mature ways to handle disagreements, and we expect our members to know these ways. if you have a problem with another player, and you can't find a solution to the problem, feel free to bring it to a mods attention and we will handle it in a timely and fair manner. you have control of your character, and your character only. if you need to incorporate somebody else's character in what you are doing, they need to be aware of it ooc. if we are told that you are godmodding characters, you will be given a warning. if we hear about it again, we will remove you. update limit is three (3) weeks. it doesn't have to be a novel, but at least two (2) substantial paragraphs. one liners, pictures, etc will not count as an update. we like to see that you have put effort in. at three (3) weeks, your character will be up for override. if you have not shown any activity in those three (3) weeks on the friends page, you will be removed with the next set of removals. to encourage active members, we want to see a post in one of the subcomms at least once every two (2) weeks. if your only activity on the friends page is your update when its due, you can be put up for override. we understand real life can get in the way, but we would like to see posts and comments so we know you're active. removals will be done every saturday night. players are only allowed at max three (3) characters at a time. we suggest that you start with one, and if you can remain active with them and wish to bring more in at that time, you may. you do not need to provide examples with each new character, simply just bring it to our attention who you play. please do not try and fool us with this. there are ways to tell if you play more than the allowed number of characters. if we find that you are playing more than three, we will ask you to choose which three you would like to keep. if you play more than one, and we notice that you are having problems in keeping them active, we will ask you to lighten your character load. students of the home are going to be between the ages of 15 and 19. staff ages range from mid 20's and up. if you are applying to play a faculty member, you must be familiar with playing a dominant role in an bdsm scene. it's mandatory that you know how to properly do a punishment scene. this is only because most scenes between staff and students are generally reforming scenes. we can help you with this if needed. scenes are predominantly what will be used. teenagers are not allowed to have cell phones or personal computers and will have limited internet access. adults will be able to text and instant message. if you are playing one of the teenagers and they age out (19) or manage to reform their behavior enough to leave parker home, you may bring in another character, no questions asked. we reserve the right to change or modify any rules as we see fit. thank you again for taking interest in ~parkerhome and we hope to see you in the game! have fun!
