Human beings who live beyond the clutches of time, Immortals are among the most puzzling of supernatural races as their origin is completely unknown and entirely up to speculation. Rumors include their descent being on account of Angelic, Demonic, Draconic, or Fae blood, curses or blessings bestowed by Witches, or creation by a divine being. The most bizarre accounts have them as the descendants of the lost city of Atlantis or as aliens from another world.

☼ Have a first death.
An Immortal's power manifests between the ages of sixteen and eighteen. However, this power largely goes unnoticed for much of the Immortal's life, and they age normally until their body expires for the first time by any means that can kill a standard Human.
☼ Remain deceased for 24 hours; after this window has passed the Immortal will return to life wherever he or she is with full memory of everything that happened up to and including the moment of death.

☼ Do not age. Once they have died for the first time Immortals will appear the same as they did at the time of that death for the rest of eternity.

☼ Can be killed by anything that can kill a Human being.
This includes illnesses and accidents. Immortals experience any pain or discomfort associated with their manner of death. Some find that dying repeatedly, for this reason, is not only inconvenient but maddening. Some older immortals have lost their minds due to particularly gruesome deaths.
☼ Are oftentimes born to families with no known history of immortality.

☼ Tend to have bodies covered with scars. Each time they die some reminder of how they passed will linger on their bodies.

☼ Have blood with healing properties.
Immortals are highly sought out by people in the know on account of this fact. Ingesting or bathing in the blood of an Immortal will restore to perfect condition the body of any being. There are no known exceptions to this ability.
☼ May only be permanently killed by decapitation or destruction of the brain.
The exception to this rule is first death, which may be caused by these things, and tends to mislead some Immortals to believe that they cannot be killed in this way.
