Human beings blessed with the ability to control the cardinal elements. It is rumored that they have Elemental blood somewhere in their family trees, and they tend to be kindred spirits. Others claim that Mages’ power derives from ancient deals with demons.
☼ Come in four different kinds: earth, fire, water, wind.

☼ Can create and control the element with which they are aligned, sometimes to incredibly creative ends.

☼ Are resistant but not immune to the element with which they are aligned; over time they can develop immunity, but it takes many years of practice.

☼ Have the ability to telepathically link with and summon Elementals of their same type that are close by.

☼ Tend to have special gifts related to their element (e.g. immunity to heat exhaustion, ability to breathe underwater, green thumb, flight).

☼ Often find their personality influenced by their elemental alignment; fire mages typically have hot tempers, air mages are sometimes flighty, earth mages can be particularly stubborn, and water mages tend to be overly easygoing.
