the traveler and the book clerk

the traveler: simply happy to be alive; cries when she has a panic attack because of the intensity of the situation; suffers minor headaches due to the injury but has never told anyone; merely looking for a peaceful place to stay for a while

the shop owner: owns the only bookstore in the village; serves coffee to his usual customers and has beers ready in the back in case anyone is having a crisis and needs someone to talk to; does repairs to the shop on his own; lives in a cottage by the lake; knows how to ride horses, but hasn't done so in a while

focuses: the quiet atmosphere of the village; the friendliness [to occasional detriment] of the villagers; all the ways they try to regain her memory; the book shop itself
