ACTIVITY
As you know activity is a big thing when it comes to roleplaying. This begins with you posting your character introduction within 3 days of your acceptance. If an introduction is not posted in that time frame, and we have had no contact from you as to why this is the case, your character will be considered DOA and will be removed.
Journals must be updated every 3 weeks with a substantial entry. Images, music, videos and such do not count towards activity. Failure to comply will result in your character being removed from the game with the next set of adds/removals.
The activity requirements also include interaction with other characters in the way of replying to comments left on your posts, as well as commenting the posts made by other characters. This will be considered when/if you try to apply with more characters.
Friends list must be kept up-to-date as well. If you are more than a month behind on updating this, it means that there are members whose posts you are unable to see and who cannot see posts made by you within character journals. This makes interaction difficult. If we see that your friends list isn't being kept updated, we will let you know once, and if it hasn't been updated by the time the next round of adds/removals comes around, you will be removed.
HIATUS
If you are unable to be active and would like to take a hiatus just message us, we know how stressful life can be and it is no problem to take a hiatus. Hiatuses are allowed for a max of 5 weeks, unless there are special circumstances surrounding the hiatus request. We do understand that real life trumps roleplay, and we will not hold it against you if you need to take time away, but we are not mind readers. If you need a hiatus, you need to let us know. Once the 5 weeks are up, if you haven't been in contact with us to let us know that you need more time, the character will be removed. If you are seen commenting around, on AIM, or making posts of any kind, that automatically renders the hiatus null and void.
RESPECT
While we accept that in character dramas can and will happen, we like to keep in character and out of character separate. Out of character, we enjoy a friendly, drama-free playing environment and ask that anyone coming into the game be mindful of this and respectful of other members. The golden rule of RP is no line crossing, as we all should know by now. If you have an issue, please bring it up with the mods. Individuals that start OOC drama will only be given one warning before being dismissed from the game on the second offense. The same is true for those who are found participating in and/or encouraging drama. There will be no exceptions. OOC drama is not tolerated here.
NO GODMODDING
Do not and we repeat DO NOT try to godmod another character. If we see this happen more than once you will be asked to leave the roleplay immediately. Godmodding is when you take control of another character, and say they did things they didn’t do or for say. This isn’t fair on the other person you are roleplaying with so please don’t do it. If you are only doing it for drama and have ran it through the person first then that’s fine! Otherwise it is forbidden. Players should also make sure to remain in character, which brings us back to not crossing the IC/OOC line. If you have an idea in mind for a specific storyline, you must discuss said idea with all players who will be directly involved in the line to ensure that all players are on the same page.
INTERACT WITH EVERYONE
We know what it’s like to go into a roleplay and have no one respond to your intro. If you see an intro that hasn't received any comment, please try to comment it and don’t just stick with the people you know. Get out of your comfort zone and have your character say hello to others on AIM. Try make friends with everyone, the more people you know in a roleplay the better.
MAJOR STORYLINES
This is a mature roleplay which means it will contain sex, drugs etc. Any major plots like suicide, self harm, pregnancy etc. must be ran through the mods first before you go ahead with it. Rule of thumb: if you think there's a chance that it should be brought to the mods first, it probably should be. We are not trying to stifle your creativity and, more often than not, we will allow these lines to be played out, but we need to be kept in the loop so that we are aware of what is happening IC within the game because of the way it can affect things on a more general level.
Pregnancy is allowed along with mpreg. You must request mods' approval using a request form in members area. We don't want the community full of children, so only 3 lines will be allowed every 3 months. It is done on a first come first serve basis. Full term pregnancies last 4 months real time.
Where it pertains to questionable subject matter (sexual assault, domestic violence/abuse, drug use, self-injury/suicide, etc.), we ask that anything posted on the friends page alluding to/mentioning these things be posted with a trigger warning for those who do not want to see/read anything pertaining to these things. Character death is a slippery slope. If a death occurs with an NPC character, we do not expect you to get permission first. However, if you plan on killing off your own character, you must let us know, and be sure that this is what you really want to do, and that it has been cleared with anyone else who will be affected by this death. Once a character dies, s/he may not be "brought back from the dead" at a later time. With all storylines, we expect things to be handled maturely and respectfully, as well as realistically.
REALISM
Your character is not psychic, they do not hear every sound, or see every tell tale sign of danger around them. They are not perfect. They do not know what is going on, they do not have some supreme knowledge of what is going to happen next. Also they do not block every blow, or dodge every kick. If a happy coincidence happens every now and then good for your character. However, they will make mistakes, and get injured. No one wants to play with someone whose character is a know it all, or just extremely lucky. in the same vein, your character's age must be within 5 years of their pb's, either 5 years younger or 5 years older at the most.
F.A.Q.
Q.: Will escorts be able to have a second job?
A.: Sure!
Q.: What sort of alliance would a character have due to working as an escort at the PowerHouse?
A.: Depending on their skills and abilities, they could work in any business owned by the Blood Angels or by the Sons of Chaos. No members, associates or allies of La Cosa Nostra are allowed to work at the Power House.
Q.: What all is going to go into what a character needs to do for the escorting?
A.: Well it's strictly up to them. The clients pay the house and the escorts get their share of profits from the manager at the end of their work shift. Since prostitution is illegal in South Carolina, escorts never get paid directly by the client (in case he's an undercover cop.) It's up to the escorts to decide what they're willing to do and it's always between the escort and the client to negotiate before they take the clients upstairs to private rooms. Should a problem arise, there's always security on premises (even if they're NPCs, please assume that they are there).
Q.: Do all escorts live at the PowerHouse?
A.: No, they can stay there temporarily if they have no other place to go to but they don't have to live there UNLESS the escort was forced into prostitution by the Blood Angels (kidnapped or sold to the gang.) If the escort is there on their own will, they can live where they like, as long as it's on the territory that's run by the Blood Angels or the Sons of Chaos.
