Ladies, gentlemen, Puffskeins, meet your Career Counsellor, Rupert "Axebanger" Brookstanton!

Rupert "Axebanger" Brookstanton (Mr. Brookstanton to you students) is a somewhat well known former Auror and Hit Wizard who has come out of retirement at the behest of Kingsley Shacklebolt. Our lovely Minister for Magic has asked Axebanger to help the next generation of witches and wizards figure out what the hell they want to do with the rest of their lives.

Axebanger will be working with all 6th, 7th and 8th years on their Apprenticeships. He will be your mentor and will be checking in on you at work time to time. He has an office and has invited everybody to come and talk to him if they need careerish advice. As much as you might beg him, though, he will not assign you another Apprenticeship.

A little bit about Mr. Brookstanton: Loves single malt scotch and salsa dancing. Does not tolerate tomfoolery. Loves to tell stories that begin with "Back in my day..." or "This one time, when I was a Hit Wizard..." Wears a muggle-style suit under a plain black robe which is open down the front. Refers to everybody by their last name, always.

By now everybody has had a chance to speak with him, in groups and individually. He'll have gone over your current Apprenticeship options with you and would not have let you leave his office until you'd repeated all the rules back to him. (Return to the castle at or before six o'clock every evening or the consequences will be embarrassing. Remember that you are representing Hogwarts at all times and are expected to act and dress appropriately. Do not under any circumstances go out with your boss for drinks after work, it never ends well.)
