She graduated from San Francisco State University in 2001 and a year later she published her first book, Gingerbread. Gingerbread received critical acclaim and was voted onto the Best of 2002 book list and was a Book Sense 76 pick. Cecilia is also the author of The Steps, Pop Princess, Shrimp, which is the second book in the Gingerbread / Cyd Charisse series, and will be releasing the last Gingerbread book titled Cupcake, in 2008. She currently resides in New York City. Though she does not plan on publishing another book soon after Cupcake, she is working on the sequel to The Steps. Cecilia, sometimes called CC by close friends, spends most of her time either in her apartment, in the park people watching or at the cute little coffee shop down the street from her apartment.
