I always find beauty in things that are odd and imperfect -- they are much more interesting
biography
EARLY YEARS ♕ Kimberly Kellie, better known as Kimi, was a late in life surprise. Not only had her parents, Everett and Marilyn (nee Nicollet) Ash raised [#] children already, but they were nearing adulthood which made a significant age difference between Kimi and her siblings. But while it was a surprise, it was not a bad surprise. When they discovered the cause of Marilyn's distaste in the kitchen and early morning sickness, they readjusted. It was as simple as that.

There was no grand entry for Kimi, despite the future path she would walk. She was born 4:14 in the morning, squalling and healthy, with her hands in loose fists. She was home within the next twenty fours and quickly integrated into the home life that had since been established by the Ash family.

Growing up, Kimi’s life was neither the worst nor the best; it was almost average. Her father was the vice president of the Devil’s Jesters, and her mother spent the first few years of her life being a homemaker before going back to the hospital as a nurse. In the grand scheme of things, Kimi was a little more spoiled than her siblings; she had her parents home with her, with more focus on her, verse how they had been in the past. It probably didn’t help that her oldest sister, Stephanie, had a daughter a few years later. Kimi was able to grow up with her niece, Kyra, as her best friend and more of a sister.

She had an endless cycle of friends in school, never overshadowed and allowed to shine as her own person. And that someone was someone that excelled in art, history, and science. Middle school was much of the same way, if not more busy for her and included activities such as cheerleading and a sudden found love for playing an instrument. More importantly, she fell in love with how she looked in the mirror. Not vain, but in love with the idea that she could change her appearance with ease; the creative outlet it gave her.

Originally, Kimi wanted to be an interior designer or a party planner (or a movie star, she wasn’t that picky). When the time came, she made the choice to move to California and try her hand there -- and just like so many others, she went there with stars in her eyes and the idea that she was going to turn into someone larger than life. However, that was not the case.

Her time at UCLA was filled with a mix of classes that resulted in a half finished degree in interior design, and a finished degree in business management.

HARVELLE’S ♕ Kimi has a worth ethic five miles wide and put it to use the moment she could. At fifteen, she got her first job as a cashier in the summer at the local ice cream shop. She babysat in her free time and by the time, she was seventeen, she was a supervisor at the local grocery store. However, the job would not carry when she moved into the greater LA area for college.

The plan ultimately was to turn eighteen and then get a job at a bar. She knew she had the attitude that would make her a great server and planned to flaunt it to the fullest extent. And so it was. For a year and a half she worked, changing to seasonal when she started her classes at UCLA. She put out feelers the closer it came to her birthday and the day after her birthday she started waitressing as Harvelle's in Santa Monica. The job was great, the shows were fantastic and the people were a riot. Kimi loved it. So it was no surprise that during a training session one day she wormed her way onto the stage. It was for laughs, just a chance to do the twists and turns and shimming that the girls did night after night.

Kimi was no dancer though, so her limelight moments of shaking it were kept for when the night was over or before it had just begun. Instead, she surpassed from waitress to bartender, commanding the room when the stage was empty save the crowning jukebox and gritty band from down the road. Kimi discovered she didn't need to be one of the dancers to be at the receiving end of a catcall. She could do it from the sides of a few others as they manhandled bottles and count glasses. The longer she worked there, the deeper she fell into the style as well. It was uncommon to see her in blue jeans and t-shirts, her hair without a flower and her lips unstained red. Her signature mark had started to be found.

She had found a home in Harvelle's, sisters and brothers among the people that worked there and a place to be comfortable – despite the never-ending hours and sometimes, more often than not, drunk customers that needed to be taken outside.

Despite the fun that Kimi had, she knew it wasn't something she wanted to do forever. So when asked about being put on the roaster full time, she always refused. Had she not wanted something more, she probably would have stayed with Harvelle's, more so, she probably would have taken up learning the routine to perform on the stage for real. She found freedom on the stage that couldn't compare to anything else.

MOMMYHOOD[expansion upon finding the father of her child]

Ophelia James was born in 2010, then Amelia Bean in 2013.

Kimi had never seen herself as a mom, despite the want to one day have kids. She took to it like a fish to water, turning her life upside down to go from carefree to committed. Motherhood was a completely different ballgame. And even to this day she's still learning.

THE MC / BOMBSHELL S&S ♕ In the beginning, Kimi was in love with the idea of the club. It was one of those things that she was infatuated with when she was younger that stemmed from the bonding she and her father did over his old Harley.

She always knew that one day she would be someone’s old lady (despite the urges not to go that route), and while she had been part of the game in the past. Kimi’s venture to California set her on another path. It took her away from the club, away from the lifestyle, and thrust her into a whole different situation. Her parents claim it was for the best, but when push came to shove, Kimi came right back to St. Louis and fell back on the path she had always known she would take. The club, the lifestyle, it's in her blood.

During her time with Harvelle’s, Kimi was able to learn the tips and tricks of the trade. She had always been a lover of beauty and what one could do with the right knowledge and skill, however, Kimi never thought it could be a career move for her. When push came to shove, it turned out to be something she thrived at, especially when she returned to St. Louis.

Before Bombshell, Kimi worked out of the spare room of her apartment. She focused her attention on social media to pull in clients and gain a following. But it’s hard to live and not struggle while saving to open their own business -- her father understood that and he was a smarter saver. Her parents presented her with the building that would turn into her home away from home.

Currently, it’s under slight construction to make room for another area where she can do cosmetic tattooing.

FIRST IMPRESSION: At a glance, Kimi can come off one of two ways: aloof or ditsy. She can be the front cover of a book that nobody wants to read or she can be the best friend (rarely worst enemy) to anyone. But one thing is certain, no matter what or to who, her smile is genuine.

PERSONALITY & DEMEANOR: Kimi is a woman that loves to love; a people person to her very core. There is never a time where she can be found without a smile and a set of open arms for anyone and everyone that strays within her path (stranger or friend). In the past, it has been a downfall as well as an uprising, in the present she attempts to be a better judge of character. Through it all, she will always be there for someone that needs a shoulder or a helping hand. The one thing Kimi prides herself on is being someone safe that can be turned too without fault or worry. No one should ever be confused: Kimi is not a doormat and will stand up for what she believes in. She will never let a person push her around. All but few will agree that Kimi is a magnet; drawing people in and around her. In her younger years, she was compared to a queen welding court and these days the assessment can still be considered true to a degree. While no longer the center of a crowd, she still walks within a group that seems never ending and continuously grows.

Neither extroverted nor introverted, Kimi can find peace with others or alone. She takes her moments of silence with a grain of salt and savors them, but she won't be heartbroken without them. As a mother, exceptions have to be made and she has long since learned to adapt.

Never lazy, but not overly ambitious, a self-made woman, Kimi knows the value of hard work and continues to do it day after day. She doesn't take her worth for granted and continues to push herself. She's content with where she is at, with the rare moment (usually alcohol based schemes) to get ahead, but only goes forth with them if she knows the venture is worth taking. Her intentions are always good, but have only become recently well thought out.

Rarely, if never, called a bitch, Kimi does have a set of claws sharpened when called for. If someone needs a kick in the ass or a push off their high stool, she'll be the one to do it. She accepts comfort limits, but she never wants to see someone fail. A lot of her instincts are very motherly or overrun by the urge to mother someone.

Kimi can be a bit erratic; constantly on the move. While the majority of her time is dedicated to her children and work, she loves to spend time with her friends. There's always something going on in her life and never a moment to spare. When she isn't surrounded by those she loves and gets to curl up in bed, she enjoys reading or watching movies like anyone else.

She can curse like a sailor or be as polite as a nun, depending if there are children are present. Once in a while, she'll slip up and say 'fudge' instead of 'fuck' and vice versa. She has a strange sense of humor and weak impulse control, the blonde is also natural (she can be ditzy at times).
