the basic rules
  • Do not cross the IC/OOC line.

  • Do not God Mod unless you were given permission to puppet.
  • Do not harass other players.
  • Always treat other players the way you would like to be treated.

crockerpark rules

  • Journal usernames must contain some form of your character's name.
  • Journal usernames cannot have more than one[1] underscore.
  • No x's and no numbers are to be used in the journal and AIM name. [added 3/17/10]
  • AIM screennames just have some form of your character's name.
  • AIM screennames are not required, however heavily recommended.
  • Diversity is a plus! Not everyone is a doctor, lawyer, etc that came from money.
  • Live within your characters means, if your character is a bartender chances are they're not wealthy
  • All PBs are to be of famous people.

    • We define a famous person as anyone in the public eye for any reason.

  • Members are allowed up to five [5] characters at any given time and must be able to keep up with all of them.
  • You need at least a brief bio upon applying, but a longer bio is perfectly fine.
  • You must have examples upon applying.
  • If you do not have said examples, pick a topic and write an entry to let us see your writing style

updating policy

  • You need an intro within seven [7] days of joining, or you will be subject to removal.
  • Regular updating is required every four[4] weeks/once a month.
  • What counts as an update?

    • A public first person journal entry.(2+ substantial paragraphs)
    • A third person character narrative.(2+ substantial paragraphs)
    • A private journal entry no one, or only a few. (2+ substantial paragraphs)
    • A private letter for one or a few people. (2+ substantial paragraphs)
    • A thread.
    • A scene

  • Updates must be linked here for the mods to check you off.

hiatus policy

  • A hiatus is a minimum of two[2] weeks and a maximum of four[4] weeks.
  • All hiatuses must be requested here or in the ooc community.
  • If on hiatus for four[4] weeks, an entry is expected within one[1] week of return.
  • Hiatuses may go beyond four[4] weeks, but all cases will be handled individually, and a valid reason will be required.
  • Coming off of hiatus and going back on again will require a valid reason.
  • Any lack of activity after one[1] week of return from hiatus, will make you available for removal.
  • If you repeatedly go on hiatus right before removals is due and we catch onto this, you will be subject to removal.

removal procedure

  • Removals will always be toward the later part of the middle of the month, normally between the 17th and 20th depending on the month
  • In order to keep from being removed, you must post, it's not that hard of a concept.
  • Want to thread a family thread? No problem that counts as activity too.
  • If you are removed due to inactivity:

    • You must have an update in your journal upon reapplying.

  • You may request to be removed via our dropbox, and we will get it at next adds. No need to place snide remarks or pity parties in the ooc community
  • We have no limit on how many times you can leave and come back to the game.
  • If you burn bridges on the way out of the game, you will not be allowed back.

changes to pb/AIM/journal

  • Please request all changes here.
  • When requesting a change, provide your PB, journal and AIM, even if you are only changing one part.
  • When changing your PB, it's suggested that you hold that PB until next adds just to be safe.
  • Please check the holds before changing your PB as well.

storylines & realism

  • We encourage all types of storylines in our game.
  • We do have a storyline community and we suggest you use that along with various pimping communities if you want pre-established lines.
  • You are welcome to come in with lines, but we stress jumping in to the community head first and allowing your character to interact, jump into posts and discussion, and see what happens.
  • The only lines you need to bring up to us mods are those of a sensitive nature.
  • What does that mean?

    • Death of a family member or loved one in play.
    • Severe/terminal illness.
    • Self mutilation/abuse.
    • Sexual/child abuse.
    • Suicide.
    • Rape.
    • Taboo sexual acts ie incest, major bdsm, Poly relationships, sex with animals, etc

  • If you are going to play a dramatic line, please (and we can't stress this enough) do extensive research on the subject.
  • This is a fictional town, which means that you can say there is a Sonic on Main street and no one can quesion it. Just keep in mind that not all businesses are known in the Southern states so do a tiny amount of research here as well
  • Your PB is the face of your character not the person or one of their roles. This means if your face is Brad Pitt, he's not and Actor and he is not Tyler Durden.
  • All pregnancies are normal nine month pregnancies.
  • Please research everything before going through with it. We do mean everything. Not everything is as instant as rice.
  • If a player is handling a dramatic line with disrespect, please contact the mods.

discipline policy & procedure

  • We typically run on a three[3] strikes policy here, meaning if we have to deal with you more than three[3] times, we will remove you from the game.
  • Any and all altercations between players should be taken to the mods immediately.
  • The mods will usually take a couple of days to discuss the situation and figure out what the best plan of action is.
  • Give credit where credit is due, if you are caught and proven guilty of stealing icons/graphics we will remove you and possibly report you.
  • Stealing writing is plagiarism and you will be removed immediately.
  • The mods reserve the right to remove anyone for breaking any of the rules at any time.
  • The mods reserve the right to reject anyone for any reasonable reason.
  • If you are rejected upon application, you may ask the mods for an explanation and reapply.

  • Adds are always on Monday, Wednesday,and Friday at as close to 11pm eastern time as we can possibly get.
  • Please try to request all changes or immediate removals you need done before we begin adds on those given days.
