personality of an apple Roux's father described her to be like an apple; sweet, brittle and poisonous. Roux became the most complex and independent little girl. At times her father felt conflicted, unable to sway her from her path towards life. He realized she would conquer the world with ease. Roux is a hard worker, ever since her childhood years, she pulled her weight around the house or in her parent’s studios. Roux is an honest young woman; she tells it like it is. She feels it is always best to be truthful, no shades of gray in her words.

Loyalty is the key to the Montorency family. It doesn't matter who you are or what you did to them; they'll always remain loyal to that person. However, she has a bit of a temper -- hot-headed would be the correct choice. It comes with being left alone as a child with her parents passing, or, it could be of her natural fiery red hair. Her Aunt and Uncle describe her to be sweet, yet bitter. Her worst quality is having the mentality of a person with the worst case of solipsism. She has never known anything else since her parents passed away; nobodies tried to help her remove herself from this solipsism.

Most people have a hard time being friends with her due to her aloof nature. Roux has a bit of a dark side, this dark side is nothing overbearing, and it does hold her back. She is soft-spoken, humble, and down to earth. The one thing Roux is not is an open book. If she could find ways of not telling anyone about her past she will go that route, she also believes nobody deserves to know about her past, the constant problem of a person with solipsism. Roux believes that what you do not know is not going to hurt you.

Relationships? Those are tough ones for her, and she holds people at a distance, does not let many people into her world. Those who are friends with her are still kept at a distance. It is always safe to keep people away or act aloof with them. People only tend to hurt you (it is what she believes). You can say she has trust issues, cannot blame her for feeling this way. Beyond the gloom, Roux has a good sense of humour; her humour tends to be bleak at times, does her best to make her humour more light and fluffy. However, she enjoys a good laugh or joke -- even if it is at her own expense.

life of an apple Roux Montorency was born in Osaka, Japan on a very cold January morning. The daughter of a famous manga artist Yukia Miyazaki and world famous photographer Rico Victor-Lyn Montorency of Rome. The pairing of two famous, talented people would become a match made in heaven. Both are sharing a common interest of art and displaying the beauty of society through pen and camera. Roux’s parents raised her in Osaka until she was ten years old. They would uproot their daughter from what she loved most in Japan: grandparents, a childhood friend, and Japan itself. Roux would find herself in a strange land at eleven years old, a place she disliked with a passion. Italy is usually a place that all people dream of seeing; it would become a different story for little Roux. The people, the culture, the sounds – all were unwanted in her little world. Eventually, as time passes by she would grow to love this place, as much as she loves Japan. The world can be seen through the eyes of a young girl named Roux.

Life is simplistic, yet full of life and dream chasing. Her mother still continued to develop her manga, her father continued with his photography. Little did Roux know something would be building up in her father. He may have everything he wanted in life; something was still missing in his world. During this time, he became mentally ill and unstable to continue living in the world with his beloved wife and daughter. People had always said he committed the worst of crimes; the worst to commit to one’s own self; suicide. It was not all true, merely facts and fiction for the public to believe whatever it was they wanted to believe. It was, in fact, true that he did die; died from his insanity. Roux's father had always seen everything different in his eyes he was not entirely sane - insanity just got the best of him. He captured photos that others would not even dare of capturing, it was all too bold for the public eye, yet he still showed his pictures to the world. He could not keep it for himself; he knew that he wanted everyone to see it, even if it had given him a bad name for himself.

Everyone knows that it is not what one wanted to do; give themselves a bad name in such a field as an artist of any form. He had quoted once to the local newspaper “I’m just setting up a new future for young generations. If nobody else well, then I can, at least, do it for them and my daughter.” You can say that he did set the future up for young photographers; one of them would be his daughter. When you look at her photos, you can see her father in them the same way he use to do is photography. She added her own flare and imagination to her photography. Deep down she knew she could not live in her fathers' shadow forever. After her father passed way, her mother would follow along. She grieved for the loss of her husband; she grieved herself to death. Roux was left with her Aunt and Uncle in Sapporo, Japan at the age of fourteen years old. There she would complete her schooling, also, pick up another name for herself in the art world, she became a manga artist. She had a dream; this dream is to continue doing what her parents had set out to do. Change the world through art.

Life in Japan would not come easy for her, she had mixed blood, and she didn’t look Japanese either. She had fiery red hair, pale skin with freckles. She was just as Japanese as any other child, only except of having Italian blood in her. Children would tease her, giving her a hard time. They called her ‘demon fox’ (Kyuubi-no-kitsune: 九尾の妖狐) she had a temper like one and her hair being the color of red. Roux wouldn’t let this stop her from living a semi-normal life. During this time she gained a true friend, his name is Takashi Yamato. He’d come to protect from the other school kids, and even from the adults who treated her unfairly. Roux would be lost without him, and he is the only person who truly knows her (besides her parents), and he was allowed into her true world. When she had to move away, it would become the hardest part of her life. She couldn’t leave him behind, what would she do without him? Takashi would forever be her soulmate.

Her new found life made her a different person; nobody can truly come to understand or even try to figure it out how she coped. She had lost all that she has loved and known, to being placed in a new life with people who could not give her what she wanted. Deep down she knows her Aunt and Uncle loved her as best they could raised her the way her mother would want her to be raised, it’s still not the same. As years go by, people have come to know her story and face; some say that she will have the same fate as her parents, some say she will take her fate in a different direction . Roux would rather make her own history. A history that is not filled with despair or death, but a history filled with dream chasing and purpose.

She moved away from Japan to attend University in Paris, France. The same place her father attended school. She majored in Fine Arts in Drawing, with a minor in advanced photography. She didn't finish her degree; she got too eager to go back to Rome to clean up the name of Montorency in memory of her father, bringing back his famous photo pieces in an exhibition, which would attract old and new fans of her father’s work. She also added in her own pieces, during this time she made a name for herself and become well known for her photography. She would do the same in Japan with her mother’s manga, which would be displayed in a museum in memory for her incredible drawings. Once again, she establishes a name in the manga industry under the name of Misaki. Her manga’s become bestsellers in over a year.

The secret of her true identity can be found in her photos and manga. Death, vanity, envy, happiness, love, misery, loneliness, and fate – these are all keys to her real soul, to the core of her heart. Roux lives in her own solipsism; it is rare for anyone to be allowed to enter inside of her world. To be worthy is a rarity in her eyes – many believe she only does this to keep herself safe. As she grows older and more mature, she finds herself hiding her past and setting out a new path for herself. Roux knows she cannot let the shadow of her family keep her down. Today she may seem a little off at times, but she continues to make peace with herself and let her art speak for it's self. Fame has never gotten to her; she is not going to let it start either. Humble and down to earth is her motto; it is the best way to go in life when you have been through hell and back.

What happens when a boy steals a girl's heart? She falls in love. Roux did not think love would find her. She spent years alone, living a mundane life as an apple in the big world. When Roux moved to California for the sole purpose of achieving her education, she did not expect to be swept away by Jason Varner. At first, she did not pay him any mind, showing his egotistical smart ass side. Roux being Roux gave him her attitude and bluntly told him off. For some reason, he never backed off from her, his persistence view suddenly broke through her wall, and they became friends. After becoming friends for awhile, they developed a friend with benefits relationship. They both understood one another, mutual feelings on how they were withdrawn from the world and hated talking about feelings. They found solace with one another. Somewhere along the way Roux started falling in love with him and as did he for her. Perfect. Simple. Pure. He completed her, and she completed him, what more could one ask for in love? As time flows by with the seasons, as does love, and this love is no longer love. Complications and broken heart syndrome took its place between them, and Roux is left broken in pieces. Jason ventures off on a different path and Roux has no other choice but to do the same.

Currently love sucks. Roux promised herself not let herself be sweeped off her feet again the way she was with Jason. She picked up the pieces of what is left of her hert and continue on with her career in the art world. Roux moved away from where Jason's memory lingered and settled in San Francisco. Another chapter in her book is about to become in San Fran, god she hopes it all goes perfectly good for her.
