![]() Kayla Jane McCarthy Played By: Frankie Sandford Voice: Lights Birth Date & Age: April 15, 1990; 19 Screen name: cool it kayla Biography: Pan right to a rainy day in London, England ( surprise, surprise! ) and a very depressed looking, very pregnant, Eleanore Rose holding the hand of a very scared, very lanky, James McCarthy. The two looked horrified but, in their eyes, there was a love that couldn't be misconstrued as anything but. In one moment, they both looked at each other and stood to face the parents that would most certainly argue that their decision to marry was foolish! That they were just children! And that making this decision so early would only land them in a relationship that neither of them would want to be in, neither of them would enjoy but, they did it anyway. They stood in front of that preacher and there were no supporting parents in the pews of the small chapel in London that they could rent on James' very low wages. They kissed at the altar despite the baby bump that was in their way. They loved one another and they would always love one another. Eleanore had always believed that there was someone for everyone and that someone had been James since the first grade when he'd glued his hand to the table and she'd helped get it off with warm water, despite how badly it hurt. They'd locked eyes and they'd been inseparable ever since. There story was a true love story and their little girl, Kayla Jane, was nothing short of the blessing that they knew they'd receive for going for what they wanted. Once the little girl was born they moved from their small flat in the heart of London to a small home in Harrow. The home was two bedrooms and that tiny bundle of joy grew up strong in her new home. She, in all of her brown-eyed glory, excelled in schooling and the lessons her mother put her though on the piano were paired with a voice that could've been compared to angels. Kayla's mother encouraged her passion in music and upon graduating primary school, Kayla went on to University to study music. The girl, she fell in love. She fell in love with a blue-eyed boy who reminded her much of her father. They fell fast and they fell hard and she was so ready to give everything to him, when she found out that it wasn't just her brown eyes he was looking into. It was not just her hand he held, it was not just her smile he adored - but, another girl's. A girl whose name slipped once when they sat beside the fire, curled close, whispering secrets to one another. Kayla's heart was shattered. That was when she began to write. She started with the melody and then the lyrics came. Music was an outlet to her, something that she had to pour all of that anger and confusion and frustration into. Her songs were simple, they went with an acoustic. She didn't have a band, it was just her and she took her music and she started playing at a coffee house in London. She wanted to play something that she'd written and she did it with such confidence that she was widely accepted to the patrons of that pub. Every Friday she returned with her acoustic guitar and her passion and every Friday the same faces returned in hopes of seeing Kayla and her piano. If by fate, or by common chance, the night she had chosen to play the song that had started it all. The song about the boy that broke her heart would hand her to the boy who would change her life completely. Joshua McGregor was among the many faces in the pub that night and he listened to her lyrics and he pulled her aside to tell her what they meant to him. She'd taken his compliment with stride. She knew who he was and knew that his opinion, much like every one she heard, mattered and that he, as a song writer, could understand what they could mean to a person. He made phone calls and got her in the studio, almost against her will. But, she did it and since then has recorded an EP and is set to go into the studio over the next few months. Following that would be her first tour.. One she'll be opening on for General Knowledge. |
