When Minnie was seventeen, she fell in love with the most popular boy in school. When Rider was eighteen, he met a girl in his class and decided that she was easy enough to get into bed a couple of times. He made her think that he was in love with her, too, but left before too long. After graduation that year, 1992, Minnie never saw Rider again. Just out of high school and pregnant, Minnie went to live with her Aunt Sophie for the rest of her pregnancy. On the first day of October in the year Minnie was meant to go to college, she gave birth to a baby girl, whom she name Penny Hall.
Penny grew up quickly. She got good grades in school and enjoyed being with friends. She was a little shy, but nothing stopped her from running up to a possible new friend.
When Penny was in tenth grade, Minnie died in a car accident. It wasn't something a fifteen year old girl could easily cope with, so she turned to friends for help, but they were all too worried about Penny's very fragile state. Finally, Penny met Carter, a senior, and became friends with him. He let her talk about all the anger she held inside when all she wanted was her mother back. It didn't take long for the two to start a very passionate and intense relationship. They loved each other, Penny knew. There were times, though, when Carter would yell. For the longest time, Penny would allow herself to believe that it wasn't his fault. The relationship continued to intensify until Carter was calling her names for not putting out. Penny tried breaking up with him in March, but he wouldn't let it go. She became known as a tease and a prude in her school. Before long, everyone knew all about Penny's parents and how Penny was some kind of bastard, born just because she was easy. Carter kept on pushing her, telling her to follow in her mother's footsteps. Finally, hurt enough to get away, Penny realized she wasn't in love with Carter and got a restraining order. When he graduated, Penny felt like she was finally coming out from being under water for so long. She could breathe again.
Ever since Carter, Penny's been terribly scared around boys. She hasn't wanted to be around them or date them. Carter scared her enough to make her lose her trust in them. Therefore, Carter was the only boy Penny ever dated. Even with the trust issue, she still wants to fall in love with a boy and possibly get married someday.
Penny graduated from high school while she was living with her Aunt Sophie and was accepted into several universities around the country. Despite the scared feelings and depression, Penny was very smart. She always did her work by herself, or if she was in a group, she would make sure she had her own back-up, just in case. She was very independent, even at a young age. Penny decided not to go to school, though. She decided to stay in Terrytown and work at Applebees so she can take pictures the rest of the time. Maybe she'll go to college someday, but she's been out of school for a couple of years, and she still loves her little schedule. Not only does she love taking pictures, but she loves having her picture taken.
Penny currently continues to reside in Terrytown, New York and work at Applebees, but no longer lives with her aunt, but instead lives in an apartment down the street with three roommates.
Penny is all around happy, sweet, loyal, and shy. Once you get to know her and she you, she will always be your friend.

Six tattoos; Ariel on her forearm, elephant prints on her ankle, "my vow to you" on her ring finger, a large lantern on her side with the words "time of my life" under her breast bone, and lyrics on her shoulder.
