THE DOME
The Dome is a massive structure that lies to the north of Sector A. The humanoids retreated into the Dome after their inability to control the influx of Shifters and their companions, and have been operating from inside ever since. The Dome is assumed to work as a two-way mirror, although no one has been close enough to confirm the theory, as sufficient hidden dangers lurk below the surrounding terrain. The Dome is eerily quiet during daylight hours, and remains a black silhouette at night. With no discernible entries or exits, the Dome remains a mystery to the Shifters as to infiltration. The only indication that there is still life within the Dome are the countless attacks, counterattacks, and abductions by the Dome and its robotic armies.

THE DUSTLANDS
The Dustlands are the only adequate, livable area outside of the Dome. Surrounded by the dangerous territory known as the Deadlands, the Shifters have attempted to live as a close-knit community within the confines of the Dustlands. The River is still accessible to the West, with a homemade aqueduct built to make transportation of freshwater easier. The Dead Forest lies to the East and is the main source of game for consumption. Shelter comes from the once, but now deserted, home of the technologically advanced humanoid race responsible for the Shifters arrival. Using the abandoned structures as home, much of the survivability of the Shifters relies on the workings of the commune, called Sector A.

More on the Sector A HERE.

THE DEADLANDS
The Deadlands are just that: dead lands. The Deadlands (comprised of the River, the Hills and the Southern Wastes) surround Sector A as well as the Dome. The only viable resource of the Deadlands is the River; the highly contested commodity for both the Shifters and the Dome. Much of the surrounding areas that make up the Deadlands are plagued with monsters, environmental dangers, and inevitable death. While it had been debated that what lies beyond the Deadlands may be the Shifters hope to salvation and return home, all exploration of the area of the Deadlands has been met with unfavorable results.
» THE RIVER: A freshwater river runs along the western side of the community and of the dome. It is the only supply of water available and shared by both the Dome and the Shifters alike. Along its bank, resides an old vagabond known as The River Man, the eldest Shifter amongst the populace. Not much is known about him or where he comes from. Some suspect he is a spy for the Dome. Others believe he is a man driven to lunacy after years of war. He does not take kindly to people bothering him and has only been seen in town a handful of times.
» THE HILLS: Lying to the East are the Hills; a misnomer for the Hills are steep as mountains, and just as desolate. The Hills are laden with deep caverns, and prone to sporadic landslides during certain periods of the year. Many of the monsters that came through reside in the Hills and are fiercely protective of the territory.
» THE SOUTHERN WASTES: To the South of the Dustlands lies the Southern Wastes, the epitome of the Deadlands (which run not only South, but past the Hills and beyond the other edge of the River. ) There is no delusion as to what their name entails: the Southern Wastes are rocky, barren, and spread on for—what looks like—forever. Sandstorms run rampant in the Wastes, causing most of the inclimate weather to the Dustlands. No living being seems to make its home in the Southern Wastes. In the beginning, many Shifters attempted to seek out hope beyond the Wastes, but none have ever returned.

SECTOR B - A NEW COMMUNE

Sector B was discovered by Killian Jones and a group he, purely by chance, transported there through the use of a magic bean from his world. They remained long enough to grab some supplies and return to Sector A, which had just been hit hard by the Dome's armed forces. Sector B remains a place shrouded in mystery. It is, in fact, a commune of ex-Dome inhabitants that were exiled. The citizens of Sector B are, for obvious reasons, reluctant to reveal this fact to the Shifters.

Will they eventually decide to join forces with Sector A in a battle against the Dome, turn against their neighbors or choose to carry on with their lives in peace and at a distance?

The commune is more than ten times the size of Sector A and boasts large, expansive farmlands. The technology used for crop growth and maintenance will be unrecognizable to all Shifters, no matter what reality they originate from. Even more impressive is the presence of farm animals - some of which were actually inherited from distant lands (ie. chocobos from Final Fantasy, tee-mus from Star Wars) among other peculiar creatures which are native to the planet.

The architecture of the buildings in Sector B are incredibly similar to those found Sector A, the only difference being that they aren't falling to pieces and actually function as homes for the commune's inhabitants. The people of the town are reserved. They keep to themselves and seem to be content living that way, making do with what they've got. The population seems to consist mainly of older citizens, appearing to be between the ages of 40 and 60, but there are several family units with young children and teenagers.

The distance between Sector A and Sector B is roughly 1,000 miles of deadlands. It would take close to 30 days to go from one commune to the other by foot. The Shifters, however, are unaware of the exact location of the commune. They can only get there with the use of the magic beans. And the residents of Sector B aren't exactly keen on giving away the location of their home to a group of strangers...
