The Caerphilly Catapults have announced that veteran and legacy player Carys Llewellyn will be riding the helm of captain as the season begins. This is a surprising pick as the latest shakeups in the Catapults' roster left fans to believe they were completely starting from scratch. Australian seeker and superstar Baz Courtney recently stole the starting spot from Vinny Gudgeon, who was swept up by the Falcons. Many speculated that Courtney would be taking the coveted Catapult captain spot, but those sources close to the team say that Courtney is only interested in two things: winning and himself. "This might be a risky move," Quidditch analyst Kevin Widmore explains, "Llewellyn is just coming off more than a season of not being in action, and let's be honest---she still hasn't lost all the baby weight. How is she supposed to keep up with the rest of the team? They'd be smarter to go with Tristan Bardera, who has never not performed for the team---this may be his chance to show what he could really do." With the trend in the Catapults franchise of shipping out what they don't think belongs, this move seems to be the latest step. If Llewellyn doesn't perform after giving her this responsibility, she'll most likely end up like former captain Griff Kirkham. In any case, it's turning out to be a great season to watch, so stay tuned!

Eight days!

After lots of discussion with Cristina and Ron, I realized that I'm missing out on having a fun loving, crazy female in my arsenal. Meet Drea Johnson, aunt to Angelina Johnson (and her brothers), and basically the coolest person you will ever meet. She's a 75 Hufflepuff and was on the quidditch team from 71 to 75 as a chaser.

Drea can best be described as a party animal. Henry Wadcock currently manages/does her PR (am I getting that right?) so when Seth isn't keeping him busy Drea is likely making him run around. She's the seeker for the Arrows. She's fantastic at what she does...when she's not hungover or drunk or strung out when she comes to practice. She almost always pulls it through for games, but there's always that worry that she won't. But when she's on her A game she's bloody fantastic.

So, who wants to plot with this bad-assery? You know you want to do it.

Nora straightened her shoulders, her hands softly tugging on the bow on her back. It wasn't too much, was it? It was just a spring dress! Nothing fancy, nothing overboard, it was simply--a dress. She couldn't exactly meet a random bloke and wear her dragon wrangling clothes, right? The shoes were simple flats, but they still hurt her feet and---why wasn't she feeling as confident as she had been while flirting through the journals with said stranger? She should really have talked to someone about this. Delilah would've turned into a hurricane of makeup and excitement and Nora couldn't handle that. What had she been thinking? Prompting a lunch date out of a stranger, ugh!

She should leave. She could leave, he'd never find out who she really was, and that would be that. Right. That would save her a lot of stress, that would make her life a whole lot easier and----backwards Wasps hat! Nora stared, gaped as she watched her blind date look through the front window. He was young, he was---cute. She flushed immediately and turned around, feigning great interest in the dessert display. It also gave her bow full visibility, and now she could at least relax enough at the fact that she'd been flirting with someone funny and handsome.

Glenda pressed her lips together to produce a small laugh, brushing the old wizard's shoulder in front of her in a warm manner as he laughed at his joke. It was a rather amusing story about a niffler and a mackled malaclaw, but the night was starting to wear her down. Any WWN party, whether it be under the façade of a birthday bash or not, was always apart of the public relations machine. Tonight was certainly no exception, though it did give her an excuse to wander (and drink) as much as she pleased. Under that pretense, she gave a quick pat to her new acquaintance and walked off before he had a chance to contest.

There was also this aging business that she couldn't help avoid either. Turning older when she already felt ancient was a strange feeling; it felt doubly so every time another announced her general youth. Twenty-three and already so popular! Twenty-three with such a name! Twenty-three, what a bright future laid ahead! They all conveniently forgot to realize that she was still twenty-two, and really nothing of their kind words made any sense to her, but what could she do if they wanted to tell her these things? It was good that she had perfect her smiling and nodding years ago.

This party wasn't all that bad, honestly. The WWN had actually invited some of her old friends, in addition to people she was sure she had never met in her life, but that didn't bother her. It was.... nice. And a bit frightening. Well, frightening for the prospect of one person, which Glenda still wasn't sure if she was actively or passively avoiding after all these months without knowledge of whether or not he was even here... it did not matter! She was an adult. They were adults, there was no reason why---

Merlin he was here. There he was! Was she losing feeling in her legs? Feeling very much caught, Glenda stood frozen, even unable to think of going about executing a quick get away. Maybe he wouldn't see her, or felt just as awful as she had been feeling and would continue to prolong their eventual remeeting! That was a pretty awful thing to say about your best friend, wasn't it?

For example, 'Betty Bangzer' turns herself into a sloth and 'Chris P. Bacon' turns into a dodo bird.

I found it hilarious, but my boss wasn't amused.

I wonder if that says anything about my maturity level...
