Interesting how quiet and reclusive everyone has been since returning back from Christmas holiday. Finally, it seems as if everyone has finally realised, at least with fifth and seventh years (and perhaps the other years as well considering they have final tests and everything) that within a few months, we will be taking our O.W.Ls and N.E.W.Ts, respectively. Of course, I've already laid out a brand new timetable as to when I'll be studying, doing my Head Girl duties, and tutoring for the remainder of the year.

The new schedule for tutoring will be posted tomorrow morning for those interested. Of course, additional times or alternate times can be arranged so it would be in your best interest to ask me just in case.

Private to Ginny, though Harry and Ron can read
Any news as to when you might be coming back to Hogwarts? I know that it's imperative that you stay as long as necessary. Dragon Pox is awful from what I've read about it the past few days, so make sure you do everything the Healers and your mum tell you to do. That way, you'll be back here much sooner. We all miss you very much.

Private to Harry
I know it has only been a few days, but I miss you and everyone else already. Mostly, however, I'm worried and curious about how your sessions are going. They are going well and you're cooperating entirely, aren't you? I've read a few of the correspondences of yours through the journal and things seem a bit better, though it sounds like you're still a bit paranoid about being alone and it being quiet. Maybe, if it's getting to you, you should stay at the Burrow or someone could come and stay with you other than Kreacher.

Private to Ginny
I wrote to Harry, asking how he is, but I know him well enough to know that there are time when he'll say he's fine or sugarcoat everything so we'll believe otherwise. But I also know that you can usually see through that masquerade of his, so how is he?

Private to Ron
You'll be pleased to know that I'll be able to come to the Burrow the evening of Christmas Day. I tried to convince mum and dad to let me go that morning, but they were adamant about me staying home during that time. But they also suggested that you could come over for dinner Christmas Eve if you wanted to. Of course, I'd understand if you had other plans, especially since all your family comes in during Christmas, but I'd like it if you did.

Things around here are quickly escalating and getting out of hands. Honestly, I'm surprised the Professors haven't insisted we give up these journals due to the amount of disrespect and derogative language used on a daily basis. Of course, the positives outweigh the negatives; they're great tools for speaking to each other when we all can't be in the same place, so I suppose that's their reasoning behind letting us keep them for now. Either way, I'd advise everyone to use more caution with what is said <s>and viewable</s> so publicly because anyone can read it.

Private to Self
While Ginny and I might be really great friends, there are some things that are extremely awkward to discuss. Harry's sex life (or lack thereof), for example. It's just weird hearing about how he doesn't care to do anything while here at Hogwarts yet Ginny does. While I do know that they're sharing the same bed, hearing such intrinsic details about one of my closest friends just doesn't seem to settle very well.

Perhaps I might have to eventually suggest having the same agreement as Ron and Harry - strictly no relationship details ever. Of course, there are time when I'll likely need her advice since Ginny obviously has more experience, but then it's incredibly awkward because she's with Harry and I'm with Ron, her brother. I'm sure she'd just love to hear any sorts of details I might have in the future about him.

Maybe there's a medium. Where neither of us go into a whole lot of detail, but just brush the surface so the other can get the general idea? I'll have to think on it for awhile. Though maybe not at all since this really is the only time she's brought it up...

Private to Ernie
Do you think there needs to be a Prefects meeting before the end of term and everyone goes home?

I've been pulled in numerous ways the past few days, but at least everything is now sorted out for the ball so I can fully concentrate on everything else that has been grasping for my attention. I took Ginny's advice though about colours; it might be considered repetitious to go with nearly the same thing as the last one, but I'm not particularly bothered either way.

This week, I plan to restart my tutoring sessions. It will be the same schedule as last year for those interesting: Thursday and Saturday evenings from six until eight. Of course, letting me know that you intend to be there beforehand is appreciated, as is telling me which class(es) you're struggling in. Though, it's not necessary that you do so, it's just merely appreciated so that I might prepare prior to the session.

While I thoroughly support Ernie's stance on the upcoming Ball, I am fairly confident that everyone will be on their best behaviour that evening. That means that all school rules should be followed and proper dress is to be worn - nothing scandalous or too revealing; we are still in a learning institution and people are ages should not be wearing things that are obviously inappropriate. The teachers will be patrolling the dance, as will Ernie and I, and the prefects will more than likely be keeping an eye out for any wrong doing, too.

Private to Ginny Weasley
<s>I can't believe I'm about to say this.</s> I don't know what to wear.

Private to Linda Moon
I realise how preposterous this might sound given your attachment to Neville, but could I have your reassurance that you genuinely care about him and aren't just interested in a few stolen kisses in several empty broom cupboards or even in the common room? You might think me rude, but Neville is a friend of mine and can easily be hurt since he's so easily influenced. Also, I know I have been avoiding you as of late, and I have no doubt that you can assume as to why, but I would like to inform you that whatever happened between you and Ron is fine. It was really none of my business at the time and still isn't given the extenuating circumstances. Things are already awkward enough between Lavender, Parvati, and I, and I'd rather not have that happen to our entire dormitory.

Now that everything has properly settled down and I've been able to get into a comfortable rhythm with juggling the coursework assigned each week and my Head Girls duties, I'm able to take on some additional responsibilities. After speaking with Professor McGonagall, I have a few hours each day where I could tutor a few individuals, no matter what year, in several different subjects. However, in order to sign up for them, you'll have to speak to the Professor of that particular class first and then they'll assign you to either me or the other individuals who have been so kind as to sign up.

Private to SelfToday, I also received an owl because Ron's allegedly feeling guilty about kissing Linda, though there's really no sense in him feeling such. It's his decision after all and it's entirely up to him to do whatever it is that he wants to. And if she makes him happy and he enjoys spending time with her <s>instead of me</s>, then there's really nothing that can be done about it. I haven't had the opportunity to speak to Harry about how he feels, but the next available opportunity, I plan to. I should really send the chocolate frog and quill back; there's no reason for him to send me anything when I'm not mad at him in the first place.

Has anyone seen Harry, I really need to speak to him.

Perhaps it's just a sneaking suspicion, but I believe that there is going to be a vast majority of the castle under the weather in the next few days if this rain keeps up and everyone continues to wander outside without jumpers or proper rain gear. Do be careful not to get sick. While Madam Pomfrey has plenty of supplies for a standard cold, she will likely be sorely disappointed to see so many students not at least trying to remain well.

Also, it's appalling how many of these journal entries turn indecent. One can almost find out anything they want about the personal life of one of their friends without even meaning to with these things.

Private to Self
It's really none of my business what he does with his own time, but to openly and blatantly state that he had kissed Linda is rather surprising. Of course, I don't have any say in the matter - that much was obvious when he decided to date Lavender, but I thought that there was an underlying understanding between the two of us and that we were just waiting for things to finally fall into place? Though, then again, I could have been horribly mistaken and have read far too much into things than I should have, but really, it felt like we had finally gotten closer after we finished arguing last year and when we finally defeated Voldemort.

I'd never openly admit this to anyone except Ginny, but it really hurts to know that that's what he's doing and spreading it around these journals. It's just like sixth year when he couldn't bother to find a place to kiss Lavender and preferred to do it out in the open where everyone and their brother could see perfectly. When did he even start liking Linda? And when, for that matter, did she actually show any interest in Ron herself? There weren't any signs and neither have really spoken about each other except in passing, and even then it's not very often that they do. I just don't think I handle seeing things happen like they did with Lavender again.

The noise level in the Library has become quite the nuisance and I can't believe that this many people have gotten away with it without Madam Pince properly handling the situation. <s>Perhaps it has something to do with the fact that she's been spending a lot more time with Mr. Filch, but still, that doesn't mean she should be allowed to shirk her duties.</s> I'd like to remind everyone that the Library is a place to study - not to talk or make as much noise as you possibly can. Therefore, if I see anyone being overly obnoxious, I won't hesitate to give them a detention or deduct house points for being rude to your classmates.

Private to Ron
I know you aren't exactly pleased with me and ignoring me is hardly helping the situation. What I said yesterday wasn't entirely called for, but I really was just asking how you planned to handle the situation. You don't personally have a lot of experience dealing with girls, especially ones that are clearly infatuated with you, and the only time you've ever let a girl down was with Lavender. I was worried that you planned to use the same methods you used with her with this younger girl, whose name I don't even know about mind you, but with her being so young, I worried that it would affect her much more greatly than it did with Lavender. Of course, I'm not saying you're that insensitive, just that sometimes it's easy to act before thinking these things out.

So, I'm sorry how it turned out and for saying it in a way that wasn't taken well.

An accurate description yes, but it hardly encompassed Hermione's full character. When most people think about or look at Hermione, they typically see a girl who is too smart for her own good; she always knows the answer and doesn’t hesitate to raise her hand to share it with the class. But upon closer inspection, she’s much more than someone who is well versed in an array of subjects. While she usually does have all the answers, Hermione is fiercely loyal, especially to those she cares deeply about. She is extremely self-motivated, a trait that is obvious by how well she has done in school. She doesn’t quit a job or a project until it is completed, and if said project happens to fail (which it usually doesn’t), she keeps at it until the desired result is obtained.

With her friends and family, Hermione is much more than a book-worm (as she is stereotypically labeled). She is caring and kind, and probably has the biggest heart of the bunch. Speaking of her heart, it is always worn on her sleeve and only on rare occasions is she capable of hiding her true feelings. As a Gryffindor, Hermione is brave and can also be very resourceful if the need arises, but isn’t as impulsive or as rash to leap into action when the need arises like many in her house are. She obeys the rules that are set for her to follow, has actually memorised them word-for-word, but if a situation calls for it and she feels it’s necessary, she has no qualms with twisting those rules to meet her own agenda.

Hermione also has a bit of a quick temper, especially with one Ronald Weasley (though it's not entirely limited to just him). It's hardly a secret that she habours feelings for him, has since second year when she learned that he faced an Acromantula when he and Harry were trying to discern what was petrifying the students at Hogwarts. However, Ron is also the only person who seems to know just which buttons to push to get her riled up. Generally, she can be cool, calm, and collected, but when pushed enough, she can be a force to reckon with. Harry and Ron say that Hermione likes to nag. She; however, believes that if they would listen to her and listen to reason, it wouldn’t be necessary for her to repeat things over and over, thus no nagging!

Through classes and extensive studying, Hermione is well-read and quite familiar with a wide variety of spells and charms, and produces portable waterproof fires with practiced ease. She’s a quick-thinker, light on her feet, and great at charms and transfigurations. She prefers to think first and act second, and often rambles off nearly incoherent sentences about what she's thinking to those poor individuals around her - such instances have been known to render those unfortunate to witness one of her tirades confused. However, the fact that she does think first and act second leads to her one downfall: She hesitates when it comes to taking action; she's no her like Harry, she concludes, who can jump up and race into battle. When it comes to actually being quick on her toes in a dangerous situation or one that calls for her to act quickly and recall things to the forefront of her mind, Hermione has the tendency to freeze up and buckle under the pressure. Instead, she has to think about it, analyze the pros and cons, and then ascertain which is the more reasonable course of action.

She is extremely smart and sharp, and can generally find a solution to nearly every problem if given ample time to think about it and research it thoroughly. Hermione is a great leader (though not in the same respects as Harry). The fact that she is goal-oriented and always striving to reach that final step is considered a strength as it shows that she never gives up. Hermione is a muggle-born witch and this, in itself, is a strength for her as she’s able to glide between the muggle world and the wizarding world with simplistic ease.

Unfortunately, Hermione worries too much, and about nearly everything and everyone she cares about, too. She lets things get to her and bother her, especially matters of the heart. She also doesn’t believe herself worthy of the friendships she has. These doubts stem from how lonely and quiet she was before she met Harry and Ron; her books and the characters within were her companions as a child as most children seemed to ostracise her because of her intelligence and bossiness.

"Books! And cleverness! There are more important things -- friendship and bravery."

Brief History:
Hermione was born on the 19th of November in 1979 to the parents of John and Jane Granger. They were your average family. Both her parents were dentists and had a joint practice that was doing quite well. The Grangers doted on their daughter Hermione, but not the point where they spoiled her. The treated her like an adult by the age of two, already teaching her the alphabet and the first cluster of numbers. Her mother would read her books before bed, but not always the fairy tales that most children heard. No, instead, her mother read her the newspaper or a book about the world and its many cultures and people. Hermione was what many considered a gifted child by the time she attended Primary School.

She wished she could say that in Primary School she made lots of friends and was respected by her peers, but that certainly wasn’t the case. She was ostracized by her peers for being above them in every subject. They would tease her constantly for it, as well as for her hair, which was unfortunately even more of a mess than when she was older. There was a boy in her class who would tease her about her funny name and her hair. He had said that it looked like a family of birds had built a nest in there. This caused the entire class to roar with laughter at her and for her to spend the remainder of the day in the lavatory crying. That comment alone had made Hermione cry in her mother’s arms for at least a week before she was able to face him. When she did, something “odd” happened that, at the time, Hermione couldn’t understand. She had sent a flock of birds after the boy and was astonished when they nipped at him. It wasn’t until she received her Hogwarts letter that she understood this case of accidental magic.

At the age eleven, Hermione received her Hogwarts letter. At first, her parents didn’t believe it, but when a witch showed up at her house and explained the procedures, Hermione and her parents were relieved to finally understand all the oddities that surrounded Hermione’s childhood that they couldn’t understand. John and Jane were reluctant to let their daughter go, arguing that she wouldn’t receive a well-rounded education, but Hermione persisted and promised to study the works of the great authors and philosophers, as well as somehow manage to teach herself muggle mathematics such as algebra and geometry. It was a reluctant yes from the Grangers, but it was one nonetheless and Hermione was off to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.

The first four years of Hermione’s schooling at Hogwarts was interesting to say the least. She had barely escaped being beaten by a Full Grown Mountain Troll, gotten past scores of challenges to help Harry recover the Sorcerer’s Stone, been Petrified by a Basilisk, met a Werewolf and lived to tell the tale, helped an escaped convict get past the dementors. And that’s only the serious happenings. She also met her two best friends, Harry Potter and Ronald Weasley. The former friend being, what everyone deemed to be the savior of all Wizard kind, but to her he was simply Harry. The latter of her friends was a boy who she had fallen in love of at the tender age of thirteen, but had never let it be known to him. He was special; he always had to wear hand-me-downs and always believed himself to be inferior to everyone else, but she always knew better and always helped encourage him. Also, just as would be predicted from Primary School, Hermione excelled in all areas of her academics at Hogwarts. She was the top of her class by first year and by third, was called “The Smartest Witch of her Age” by Sirius Black. She also became a school prefect and Head Girl her seventh year.

In Fourth year, Hermione had the opportunity to meet the famous Quidditch star, Viktor Krum. At the time of their first meeting, she thought he was a pompous git who thought too highly of himself, but when he introduced himself in the library a “courtship” blossomed and he asked her to the Yule Ball that Year. The two, though no longer having romantic feelings about one another, have continued letters to one another and are good friends and Hermione will always consider him a close friend and the one who gave her her first kiss.

In Fifth Year, Hermione had the scare of her life when she, Harry Potter, Ron Weasley, Luna Lovegood, Ginny Weasley, and Neville Longbottom faced off with a group of Death Eaters in the Department of Mysteries. Most everyone that day sustained some serious injuries and that was the day that Harry lost is godfather to the veil. It was a dark day for all, but she grew from that experience and vowed that she would become a stronger witch as a result and help protect those she loved.

Sixth was equally as difficult, but she was able to be there and support Harry and Ron throughout it all. While the year seemed to start without too many problems, it quickly spiraled out of control. At the end of the year, Hermione, though she didn’t witness it first-hand like Harry, Hermione experienced the death of her beloved Headmaster. Such a blow struck her to the core and she held onto Ron during Professor Dumbledore’s funeral. Afterwards, she and Ron promised Harry they would go wherever he would; they were with him entirely even though he had given them many chances to get out.

---
(While reading the mod posts in game, I was unable to discern if any of the events that happened in Deathly Hallows occurred in game. If they haven't, please disregard the following, and if I need to rewrite it to incorporate game canon instead, I certainly will)

The summer after her sixth year, Hermione did the hardest thing she could do: she altered her parent’s memory and sent them to Australia. It broke her heart watching from afar as they went, but she knew it was necessary and for their safety.

The summer started off with Bill and Fleur’s marriage; an affair that was supposed to be happy and well protected, but Death Eaters attacked the gathering and Harry, Ron, and Hermione left quickly before the battle itself broke out. Ages were spent at Grimmauld Place with very little news from the outside world. Tension rose, but still they pressed on, exploring all possibilities and contemplating what the remaining horcruxes were and where they were. They infiltrate the Ministry, visit the orphanage Tom Riddle went to, and camped out for weeks at a time. While camping, tensions rose as a result of wearing one of the horcruxes and Ron left. Hermione cried for days, crying at night and trying to keep quiet so Harry in the bunk above her wouldn’t hear her. When it was time for she and Harry to pack up and move on, she took her time, but in the end, they left without Ron. It broke her heart and she buried herself in her research and nothing else.

Next, Hermione and Harry arrived at Godric’s Hollow and encountered Nagini in the shape of Bathilda Bagshot. Shortly after, Ron returned and, though Hermione was relieved to see him, she gave him a good thrashing for leaving like he did and ignored him for several days. Within the course of Horcrux hunting, the trio learn about Dumbledore and Grindewald and Harry seemed intent on following that course, but Hermione believed it didn’t help them in finding the Horcruxes. She was wrong in the end. The night the trio were capture and taken to Malfoy Manor, Hermione was tortured by Bellatrix Lestrange with the Cruciatus Curse. Never had she felt such intense pain in her life and, though she wanted the pain to end and would go to any means necessary to do so, she wouldn’t give up the information she was holding. Even if it meant she died. But they escape, luckily, but Dobby is unfortunately killed and is buried at Bill and Fleur’s house by the sea.

The trio venture to Gringotts, Hermione polyjuiced as Bellatrix Lestrange and manage to retrieve Hufflepuff’s cup. It’s a dangerous mission and one that nearly had them trapped until they flew out of there on a dragon and headed north towards Hogsmeade. Next, they made it Hogsmeade and traveled through a passage in the Hogs Head to the Room of Requirement. Things pummeled ahead quickly once they reached there. They found the diadem, destroyed it, Neville killed Nagini, Hermione kissed Ron, everyone thought Harry was dead when he wasn’t, and Harry then defeated Voldemort. The wizarding world celebrated, the trio hugged and cried together now that it was over, and things slowly returned to normal.

"Just because you've got the emotional range of a teaspoon doesn't mean we all have."

OOC
Name: Krissy
Age: 21 Years old
AIM: Library Lurker17
Email: kbpkrissy@yahoo.com
