She's had a lot of flings, and she prefers to spend time with new and exciting people over old flames.

Appearance
PB: (Porphyria Suicide)
Detailed Description: Emilie is 5'9, has pale skin and blue eyes. Petite. Despite her appearance, she takes offense at the word "Goth", preferring not to "buy into" labels. Naturally blonde, her hair is usually charmed an emerald green, but she has taken to charming her hair different colors-- mostly due to her changeability and the current cost of good hair dye.

She shaves her eyebrows down to almost nothing, and paints them on meticulously every morning. Without them she has sort of a Heian appearance. Never goes anywhere without putting on her makeup.

She's collected a large array of piercings (most of them she did herself, the others she got with a fake ID) but has a tendency to get bored and take them out. She may then change her mind again and re-pierce them herself, considering tending to fresh piercings a sort of hobby. Her current piercings include her bridge, septum, snake bites, 1/2" gauges in both ears, and a few hidden extras.

Her wardrobe is a little like something out of Mad Max. She prefers brightly colored, deconstructed garments, mini skirts, ripped stockings and occasionally--goggles. If you wanted to classify her style it could be described as Industrial, Cybergoth, or Rivethead.

Likes: lemon ice, cats, NDH, painting, drawing, cute boys, cute girls, tattoos, scarification, art, jell-o cups, herbal tea, self-piercing, flavoured cigarettes, brightly-coloured eye shadow, cruel pranks, whiskey, black-light-reactive anything, night clubs, dyed hair, novels, zombie movies, snow and Demeter's Cologne in "Rain", the 'Dark Arts'

Detailed personality
If you were to equate a phrase to Emilie, it would be "Don't feed the bears," or maybe more specifically "Don't feed the tigers." If you are foolish enough to go to do so, you will probably get eaten. Much like her animal counterparts, there is a certain level of wild, unpredictable danger when dealing with her.

Emilie is ruthless, and has no real consideration for what muggle or wizard society would consider "good" or "moral". She has no pity for those she perceives as the weak or the stupid. While incredibly misanthropic, she disguises this with a heavy slathering of charm. She is cunning, and at times incredibly manipulative. She tends to talk down to people when approached. She has no problem using people for her own ends, but would never actually do this to someone she would consider a friend. That being said, Emilie has very few (if any) true friends as she always keeps people at arm's length.

Having been raised in a house-hold where Satanism is the main religion--one would assume that would be the cause of her nature, but this is simply not so. She takes the nine satanic statements and the eleven satanic rules of the earth very seriously.

Still, the girl is just as likely to smile at you in the hallway as she is to trip you.

Emilie is what you would call a "Type A" personality. Easily irritated, incredibly impatient, moody, imbalanced, thrill-seeking and intensely changeable. However, Emilie does not necessarily go out looking for trouble, and she's not constantly breaking the rules. She'll generally keep to herself, usually choosing to noise out with her headphones. She is a great lover of muggle music of all types.

Music and Art are her focus, and she generally spends her free time drawing or painting. Her dorm room is probably covered in murals (on canvas) she paints.

Emilie also spends a significant time people-watching, and pays attention little details other people don't-- as they might be useful in the future. One only needs to worry really if she smiles at them, behind the seemingly harmless expression hides a predator waiting for the optimal moment to strike.

Personal History:
Emilie is the first daughter of Thomas and Samantha Devlin, a wealthy couple from Manhattan. Both are incredibly successful in their fields; Thomas is a successful broker on Wall-Street, and Samantha is a big time criminal defense lawyer.

Her parents had busy lives; on weekends they often sent Emilie alone to take the 45-minute train ride from New York City up to Tarrytown, which is just south of her Grandmother's home in Sleepy Hollow.

She hated it, resenting her parents for pawning her off on an old senile woman who seemed to actually think that all problems could be solved with oatmeal cookies.

Emilie eventually befriended a muggle girl of the same age from the other side of the culdesac, and from their friendship's inception they were nearly inseparable.

Lucy and Emilie were two peas in a pod, Emilie always leading the way into trouble--and Lucy always figuring the best way out of it. They never did any real harm, but were the terrors of the neighbours' gardens. Even still, they were good kids, and everyone knew it.

One winter evening, just after Christmas but before the end of vacation, Emilie invited Lucy over for a sleep-over. The two nine year olds were camped out in a small tent in Harriet's living room, trying to out-do each-other with scary stories. This is Emilie's last memory of that night.

Emilie awoke in a hospital, a few days later. According to the fire inspector, someone had left a candle burning during the night. It had toppled over and lit some curtains, eventually setting the whole house aflame. Firefighters had managed to put out the blaze, but the strangest part was that Harriet couldn't remember lighting a candle and Emilie seemed to have only partial memories of what had happened that night.

Lucy never woke up. She remained in intensive care for months, but never opened her eyes. Emilie visited Lucy only once. Lucy's mother was there-- three nurses were required to remove the screaming woman from the collar of the nine year-old's shirt.

Emilie never went to visit Lucy again.

Emilie eventually moved on, making friends in her apartment building and through the therapy centre her parents sent her to. She seemed un-phased over the loss of her best friend, and her parents worried. They tried their best to keep Emilie busy, becoming more attentive--if only slightly.

As a result, she developed dozens of hobbies, becoming obsessed with music and art.

She started painting-- part of art therapy, and was eventually drawn into Graffiti art through some of the muggle children in the therapy centre. Emilie paints HUGE murals on canvas, her favourite theme being the circles of hell. In each of these paintings there is a girl about Emilie's age, somewhat separate from the rest of hell's inhabitants-- a blonde girl in a blue hospital gown.

Soon enough, letters from wizarding schools arrived at her home and she was entered into CCI. Her parents were thrilled. Though maybe her father mores than her mother. All this time, she had raised Emilie as a normal muggle child, not inclined to reveal the deep dark seceret of their magical heritage. The two fought often before Emilie left for NOLA. She threw herself into her studies and her faith (so to speak), always determined to become more disciplined, stronger, smarter.

As a CCI student, Emilie has been a secret menace to her fellow classmates. Years of parentally enforced therapy had certainly paid off, but probably not in the way they had anticipated.

Slowly, she became calculating, manipulative monster. Instead of making friendships, she spent most of her time with other people ruining them. She used people for her own cruel ends, blackmailing them into keeping whatever unsavoury behaviour she might have exhibited a secret.

Her teachers suspected something, and attempted to speak to her about it a few times but she always played the innocent part-- The misunderstood artist, the tortured soul. Her grades were high, and she exhibited a high proficiency level in most of her classes, despite her antisocial behaviour, and her penchant for breaking the dress code-- they could find no more fault with her other than any other normal teenager.

Truth be told, Emilie has become restless. With two years left, she can barely contain herself. It's just a matter of time before her desire for excitement leads her down the wrong road.>
