Life Lesson: Always check TFS before resorting to the VERY DEPTHS of the google image page, numbskull!!

I just spent like two hours trolling google, and finally with two more images needed to accomplish a batch of 100 (for as ofgten as I post batches smaller than that, I really really hate 'em,) I finally got the idea to check for a TFS thread and OMG SO MANY LOVELY IMAGES I HADN'T FOUND ANYWHERE ELSE WHY DID I PUT MYSELF THROUGH THE TORTURE OF GOOGLE IMAGES??

Sigh. A doofus am I.

Meanwhile I am watching the recent (March 2008) BBC version of Sense and Sensibility. I was expecting to dislike it, because everyone freakin' worships the Ang Lee, Kate Winslet/Alan Rickman/Emma Thompson version and I pretty much detest it so I chalked it up to...disliking Sense and Sensibility adaptations? But I'm finding myself liking this one quite a lot. Charity Wakefield is, like, illegal levels of cute. As I am a Marianne fan, this is important to me (you'd think I'd've been satisfied with my Kate in the role, but apparently not?)

Man, I love period pieces. I have like five other BBC miniseries in the queue to download. Because I'm awesome like that.

This is Tink and I don't have a scribbld but I wanted to comment here anyway! Google image is quickly becoming a collection of ugly quality photos. lol. Also check flickr.com they tend to have GREAT rare stuff. Sometimes you have to weed through a lot of junk but I've found some excellent quality photos there.

What is TFS?

The Fashion Spot. The forums are largely useless if you're not a member, and it's invite only at this point I believe (I somehow had the foresight to sign up years ago, long before I started iconning and before it was invite; I have no freaking clue why I did at the time.) And it's mostly good for models, but there's also an actor/actress section, which somehow tends to be a good source for more obscure actors who don't have big fansite galleries, assuming said actor has attended a few red carpet events.

I was not a fan of the Ang Lee version either! I'm sure it's because I was like "these actors are all way too old" and Emma Thompson just kind of blows my mind. And OMFG Charity is so freaking adorable, and she reminds me of Felicitas Woll, only cuter.

What other BBC miniseries are you (planning on) watching? If you haven't seen it already, I recommend the latest BBC version of Persuasion. I actually cried. Like tears, streaming down my face. It was sheer beauty!

Yeah, my major problem is the age of the actors, I think. Emma Thompson, while a wonderful actress, simply should not have attempted to portray a nineteen-year-old at the age of 36 (and the fact that she did kind of makes me lose respect for her. Like, *eyeroll,* vanity much, Ms Thompson?) Similarly, I adore Alan, but he was 49. Brandon's supposed to be mid-thirties. Although Mr. Rickman is a hot enough 49 (hell, he's a hot enough 62!) to pull the part off all right. But Emma and Hugh just...made me wince. Poor casting, Ang Lee.

Yeah, Charity's quite Wollish! Also something Laurent-like about her eyes or nose, I can't figure out which.

ALL OF THEM. Well. I mean. I'm actually on a BBC-miniseries-dling kick (right now I'm watching North and South, which isn't Austen, but TOMMY RIDDLE!! Only his accent is all plebe and I'm like sigh, Ministah Riddle did not have a Northern England Working Man Accent, for sure.) But I'll be watching anything I can...get. From the usual source.
