some of the pictures are from facebook so they're not that great.

we slept in these small bunk beds in the train and this is how we looked like upon waking up.

from the train.. i think this is already in hungary. if not, then austria.

this kept us sane..

nico showed us some card tricks... he really was just annoying everyone.

budapest! we had a short stopover until we had to hop on the train to karcag. this is cyril.

you're not really supposed to smoke in the train, but everyone did it anyways so it was tolerated at times.

but if we had a stop, we'd go out.

my host family - we all stayed with hungarian families. it was pretty tough because the parents usually couldn't speak english. also my host sister was really shy and hardly talked so it got really boring at times.

after arriving, i took a shower and rode the bike to town with my host family. this is the town hall.

the whole trip was about taking silly pictures

we went to these people who live traditionally (guy on the left) and next to him is the hungarian (only she's really from the ukraine) teacher who showed us around karcag, debrecen, and the puszta.

we rode on carriages to the "lake" and back

they made a show where they reenacted fight scenes

later on they picked some of the guys from our class to participate

luregn and cyril pretending to fight lmao

i think this goes without a comment..

some gypsies were selling hats, whips, etc.

budapest

we went to the parliament and talked to one of the leading politicians (in the opposition)

the crown (we weren't allowed to use flash)

a model of the parliament made out of toothpicks (or matches?)

our class with two of the most important politicians in hungary (the woman in white has the second highest position)

by the danube river

we finally found the time to put the porn magazine into samuel's backpack.

we were all pretty annoyed because we kept making a circuit thanks to our teachers.

but we finally reached the restaurant after a while and the food was fantastic!

the next day we went to the chinese bazaar, where you're not allowed to take pictures because of some illegal stuff being sold apparently. i only bought cheap perfume though.

then we got some time to explore budapest i guess, and we posed with this statue in front of the operette house.

janique, lea, anshul, and i also went to a photographer and got our picture taken (lmao it looks like a family portrait), i think i'll scan it sometime.

in the train back to zurich! anshul bought a hookah at the chinese bazaar...
