Prompt: Pertho from Verve Challenge's Runes - Elder Futhark table.
Notes/Warnings: Slipping of mickeys.
This is a rune of mystery and things not being quite what they seem.
"Please - come in, rest awhile," says Song to the raging husband, the vengeful bandit, the intrusive soldiers.
"No, I've not seen anyone come by of late," says Song while beneath her feet tremble the beaten children, the terrified wife, the frightened refugees.
She listens to the complains, nodding and smiling and making the proper noises of concern, lying with a smile in her eyes and rage buried in her heart.
"Oh, but you must be tired," she purrs, reaching for her special blend. "Allow me to make you some fortifying tea."
Of course they agree, relieved that at least this clever, pretty young thing sees the right of the world.
Song has friends in town, friends she pays well to take away the sleeping husbands, bandits, soldiers, and put on a boat downriver. She never worries of revenge - she can take care of herself, and she treats the people of her village for free. Vengeance is... discouraged.
