I've already ordered a wreath for the funeral. I never liked those things because people tend to try to outdo each other when the money could be going into something more productive. However, the one I picked is rather simple and if anyone would like to see a picture, I would be more than happy to show them in person. I don't know who's interested in pitching in money, but any and all would be appreciated. It'll be marked as from the students regardless. I'm more interested in getting something such as a tree or a bench, because although I didn't know him that well, I think he'd appreciate having something given to the school. In the event funds exceed that, I hope to find a suitable charity or maybe more money for the school. That seems unlikely, but I suppose one should plan ahead for these things. I don't know where the funeral is and I don't even know if he has any family. They're saying we don't have classes until next week, which gives us too much time on our hands and it's absurd to be playing frisbee in such an environment. Who's going to be teaching the chemistry classes?

I think a tree would be nice, or maybe a combination thereof. Dumbledore always sort of reminded me of a tree, but I think the bench would be a nice addition, you know? Fuck.

I'll donate for the wreath or tree or whatever, just let me know where I can do that.

Maybe a bench under the tree. Like a memorial. And the tree will grow and I don't know, always be there. Like it's watching over. Is that lame? That's lame. Sorry.

Cameron, they expect me to cancel the history society meeting. Who does that?

The administration, apparently.

Ok. I don't think he would want us to cancel. I mean, ok, none of us really knew him well but I think he might want us to do it if we need to. He knew it was important to you, right? So I think maybe we should have a meeting anyway. Informally. Unofficially. I don't think it's good to just sit around with nothing to do.

Exactly! I'm going to tell those grief counsellors that.

No! That's not lame, that's totally what I meant. I'm just being a little inarticulate. I feel like I'm on an episode of The Twilight Zone. Forming coherent words are tough.

Oh, ok. It sounded better in my head. Yeah, I'm feeling sort of inarticulate too.

I feel like he'd think it was nice, to have a place where a few students could just sit and relax and talk. He was all about that, you know? Inter-house unity and all that jazz. Yeah.

You alright, Cam?

I think you're right.

I'm fine. About as fine as anyone can be right now, I guess. You?

I've decided that there's an order of precedence: a wreath, then a bench, and then a tree. I'll sort it out once I look up opening bank accounts through the phone or internet.

The tree just seems like it will last longest. It will be the most meaningful.

Yes, I'd rather a tree or a bench before the wreath, but the funeral will be happening quite soon. However, I will look into how to donate a bench before looking into donating a tree.

That's cool. I wouldn't mind putting in the money for the tree.

Thank you. I'll keep that in mind.
