School InformationDorm Rooms- There are four students to a dorm room, sharing with the classmates in your year
- There are charms in place to make sure that boys cannot go into girl's dorm rooms, but the same are not in place for girls to get into the boy's.
Prefects- Prefects have special priviledges such as using the prefect's bathroom, punishing other students and taking charge in case of danger.
- Punishments allowed to be given are lines, being sent to a professor and other non-major things.
PetsPets can be any of the listed animals such as toads, owls and cats. Smaller creatures like rodents or fish will probably have a blind eye turned, but obviously anything that involves a lot of looking after like a dog is not permitted.
Uniform- Students will wear their uniforms during the school day, robes can be left behind on particularly hot days.
- A Hogwarts uniform consists of a grey skirt/trousers with a white shirt, a house tie, black shoes and your house robes.
Quidditch- Quidditch try outs are at the beginning of September, first years are not permitted to participate.
- Quidditch matches take place on Saturday afternoons
- If more than one person tries out for Quidditch Captain (that isn't in canon) for a certain house we will roll for it.
Free Time- There will be a Hogsmeade visit on the last Friday evening of every month from third years and up. Permission slips must be signed.
- After lessons students are permitted to spend time as they please, go to the library or go to special study rooms if praticing things like potion brewing.
- Curfew is at 9PM so don't get caught!
- All the grounds are open to students except for the Forbidden Forest (so don't get caught there either!).
World InformationThis RPG is set in the 1970s so I thought a little lesson in the culutre and history of the time would be interesting and helpful (more for me than anyone else :3)Muggle- In 1971 98% of British households owned a TV. VHS players were not invented until 1978, though.
- In 1972 in Britain the working week was reduced to three days to save on electricity whilst the miners were going through strikes. Blackouts were a common occurance.
- The early 1970s saw the birth of glam rock such as David Bowie
- The late 1970s saw the birth of punk music. The Sex Pistols released their first album in 1976.
- Football hooliganism became popular amongst young people in Britain.
- Serial killer Peter Sutcliffe aka 'The Yorkshire Ripper' had Yorkshire in terror as he committed a series of murders with a hammer.
- It was the Queen's silver jubilee in 1977
- Muggle fashion included flared trousers, platform boots, rollerskates and afros in the early 70s and tight jeans, ripped clothing and punk fashion in the late 70s.
- The Vietnam war ended in 1975
- The Munich Massacre happened in 1972 at the Munic summer olympics
Wizarding- In 1970, Tom Marvolo Riddle resurfaces, calling himself "Lord Voldemort," and begins his quest for power and immortality.
- 1970: The Whomping Willow is planeted
- 1972: The Chudley Cannons change their motto to "Let's all just keep our fingers crossed and hope for the best," replacing the more audacious "We shall conquer!"
