It wasn't exactly unusual for Lavender to fall asleep on the floor of the living room, curled up in a little ball instead of on her bed. Just like it wasn't exactly unusual for Seamus to fall asleep on the couch above her. What wasn't characteristic of Lavender, though, was for her to be sleeping there in the middle of the day. She had gone home for a lunch break, and instead of going back, she had fallen asleep on the floor, peanut butter sandwich uneaten and mango-orange juice untouched in front of her, just above where her head rested on the floor.

It was getting to be about six o'clock, just about the time that Seamus usually got home, and Lavender normally went to an event of some sort, but she was still normally at work.

Instead, she slept, her once tense body clenched up into a little ball, seemingly relaxed as she twitched slightly in her sleep.

Lavender was doing something she knew she shouldn't. They never made a rule about it, never said anything about it of the sort, but it was sort of the unspoken rule that neither of them would ever bring a date home with them. Scratch that, they wouldn't even date. But it had never been voiced, so it must not have been a rule, right?

So Lavender did it. She brought home a boy with her. Lavender brought home some guy that she'd met at a club while working on a gossip column. He had blond hair and a familiar Irish accent that made her feel safe. He was nice enough, and she had had enough drinks in her for it to work out in this guy's favor.

Seamus was supposed to be asleep or something like that, and she didn't really expect for him to be there, or even if he was, be awake, so she had every intention of just slipping past him in his dreamy stupor if he was. This guy, Aidan, made her giggle as she fiddled with her keys and kissed him softly at her door. "Do you want to come in?" she whispered.

Sunday mornings at the apartment were possibly Lavender's favorite day of the week. She always woke up just a little bit earlier than Seamus, and she felt like she could catch up on things like cleaning up the apartment a little, getting a little bit of laundry done, and things like that. Lavender made a mental checklist as stepped out of the shower and wrapped a towel around her slim frame. She looked around for her toothbrush but couldn't find it, stepping out of the bathroom for a moment to go to her room to get it from her drawer, in the middle of putting her hair up in a messy ponytail.
