Appearance
PB:
Coooolleeee Mooooohrrrrrr~
Detailed Description: Gray's personal style treads the fine line between stylish prep and disheveled delinquent. Even out of his school uniform he'll wear button-down shirts or polos-- but untucked, with the collar popped. He also favours hi-tops, studded belts, skinny jeans, and raunchy teeshirts. He's a bit on the thin side and a sprawling 6'4. While tall and lanky, he still maintains a near-sickening air of confidence.

His hair is dark brown, stuck in this perpetual tug-of-war between undercut and mohawk, and always incredibly messy. He pretty much always just leaves it the way it was when he rolled out of bed. Depending on the length of his hair, it may fall forward and into his eyes--or it may just stick straight up.

His few tattoos are a result of a liberal application of alcohol in combination with the ownership of quite an impressive fake I.D. They don't really mean anything, he picked whatever he thought looked cool. He has "AprilMayJune" across his chest under his collarbone, "WOLVES" down his left arm, "M.V.P" on his right hand.

-Gray is a fan of making strange voices for his own amusement, and often does terrible impressions of people.
-He is a social smoker, and prefers smoking while drinking.
-When smoking, he prefers to blow smoke from his nose. (Unless he's trying to impress people with smoke rings.)

-Enjoys saying dirty things in French to girls who don't speak French.
-Has a bit of a fixation on control, and likes pulling reactions from people. Whether it be for something horrible he said, something impressive that he did, or something... dirtier.

Secrets:

- Gray is a lot smarter than he lets on, preferring instead to play stupid and be underestimated. He is surprisingly well-read and would probably have higher grades if he actually applied himself.

Detailed personality: Gray is the kind of guy who would coast on the graces of his good looks if he were allowed to. Disgustingly charming when needed, Gray is a strange and unusual hybrid of all sorts. He is the class clown, the pretty boy, the sleaze-- the jock that somehow fits in perfectly with the punk kids. An approachable bad boy in a gaudy wrapper whose entire vocabulary is made up of raunchy, politically incorrect jokes.

Gray is all smiles, preferring to make new friends with self-deprecating jokes. Though at times he can grow a little mean, as he enjoys teasing people and gets carried away. He can't resist saying things at times, even if he knows he shouldn't. For the most part, he generally likes people and generally likes being liked by people. His teasing is usually not malicious, though he does have a bit of a spiteful streak, and often crosses the line with his choice of words. Still, he'll play the role of the laid-back clown or the flirt in order to bring people closer to him, especially girls. It's probably also led him into some less-than-savory circles comfortable with drug use, alcohol abuse, or casual sex.

He seems to be unable to take things seriously. Somewhat spoiled and self-involved, he seems to live mostly for himself, making him into a bit of an asshole at times. Or most of the time. To the untrained eye, the only things important to him are sports, fucking around, intentionally irritating people, and drinking as much as he possibly can without giving himself alcohol poisoning.

Underneath it all, Gray is intensely emotional and incredibly sensitive--but he'll be damned before he lets anyone onto it.

Personal History:
Gray is the last child and only son of Arnaud and Sophie LeClair. Sophie was a French tourist that met Arnaud while vacationing in Montreal. The pair had instant chemistry-- despite their differences of lineage. Even though Sophie was a muggle, Arnaud only saw her as his "little Parisian rose".

The pair were madly in love and soon married. Children quickly followed, Veronique, Suzette, and eventually Gregoire. It was a seemingly perfect life. Gray's memories of his childhood are so rose-tinted that he often wonders if he's remembering his mother or a movie he may have seen. He remembers her as kind and loving and not much else. Maybe a forgotten lullaby or a story she may have told him when he was a kid, but he tries his best not to think about her.

In truth, things were not perfect. Sophie and Arnaud tried their best to hide it from the kids. For the most part they succeeded but the couple argued almost constantly behind closed doors. Big things, little things, what to make for dinner, where to take the family for christmas, where to send the children to school, whether or not it was stupid for Sophie to feel inferior as a muggle. Their relationship grew strained, and eventually one night in the middle of a heated argument--Sophie walked out on her family.

A day passed, then two. A week passed and Arnaud grew frantic. Sophie had disappeared without a trace, not even wizard law enforcement could seem to find her trail. It was as if she had ceased to even exist the night she walked out of the door.

At the time, Gray was the only one of the three children still living at home, Veronique had been attending Beauxbatons Academy for a couple of years and Suzette had just been accepted into a local Canadian school near Toronto. This left the LeClairs' only son alone to watch his father crumble emotionally. Arnaud's sisters were left to care for and did their best did their best to comfort Gray, but the damage was done. Arnaud secluded himself and began to spend much of his time away from home, unwilling to face his former life or his family.

With an absentee father and their mother practically vanishing into the ether--the LeClair children were essentially alone.

Over the next few years Gray's personality shifted rapidly. His mother's disappearance and his father's neglect became a fact of life that he had seemingly acclimated to. At seven he was a shy, intelligent, loving child. By ten, you would barely recognize him. He sprouted up what seemed a few feet, and started to act out. It started small at first, but eventually Arnaud's sisters found they could simply not control him.

Around this time, letters from wizarding schools began to arrive. Arnaud's sisters wanted to send him to some form of remedial school, but Arnaud was insistent that Gray be able to choose the school he wanted, taking an active role in his son's life for the first time in years.

Wanting out of Canada and away from his smothering Aunts, Gray chose the Crescent City Institute. New Orleans became his second home, and he adjusted quickly--never mind that moving from Canada to the United States is somewhat like moving into bizarro world that speaks the same language.

Gray joined the Quodpot team in his sophomore year, and made quite a few friends in school and around town. His grades are... satisfactory at best, preferring to focus his time chasing girls and quods. By his Junior year, Gray had earned himself somewhat of a reputation as a heartbreaker. He tends to woo girls heavily until he gets bored with them.

He is a heavy smoker and drinker, but hates to do either alone or apart from each other. He likes to party and have a good time. Maybe a little too well, even. Gray isn't some sort of nefarious character. He's not an addict or a pusher or some kind of horrible womanizer. Okay, that last one is probably true.

He's just an easy-going guy who likes to have a good time.
