Given up for adoption the day she was born, Jaida could have had a decent life. Unfortunately, the shadow that hung over her family seemed to follow her. Stuck in the system until she was old enough to learn how to hide from it, she followed dangerously close to her mother's past; unbeknownst to her until her curiosity about her birth parents prompted her to break into her old orphanage - where she learned the truth. Both elated and devastated, she made a vow to herself to be better than the mother who'd abandoned her. A better thief. A better symbol. And so, she became Nyx - a shadow in the night that one rarely caught glimpses of, if they were unlucky. |
