Lt. S'Bella's Starfleet record is a decidedly mixed bag. While her overall scores in both armed and unarmed combat, as well as her overall instincts toward security matters, were among the highest in her class, it can only be said that, well, when it came to respect for authority, she had about as much as your average cat. She had little problem telling superior officers exactly what she thought of them and precisely why what the were doing was wrong. Her record is pockmarked with insubordination.
While her acts of insubordination often saved lives, they were also equally often gross breaches of protocol, the chain of command, and many other things. No captain would take her... until the Anubis assignment opened up.
