Had a really busy day today so far. Been out consulting since like 9am. Worked at the barn, played with my horse a little bit. Got a few emails and things taken care of. Going to dinner tonight with my parents to celebrate my Dad's birthday, woohoo!

 Had a really good time this weekend. My buddy/best friend came up from Massachusetts to get a couple things done up here in VT. He picked out the place for his wedding and it's pretty local so I'm happy. I'll be the best man there, actually one of two, so that's going to badass. I'm pretty excited for that. Also snagged an 1911 and an M203 from him, so I am super psyched about that. Not much else went on this weekend. We finished up a large portion of the new database server with lots of help from ltdan. Poor morgan spent like 5 hours trying to figure out the right Gentoo Linux image to use and then creating the bootable USB key. Finally around 12am on Sunday morning we finished up with the base OS install. I think this week we'll work on getting MySQL up and running and setting up permissions and other fun things.

Saturday I went out for an amazing ride on my horse. We just ran through the fields, and up hills and had an amazing time. I don't think I could bring myself to sell him. I'd rather live in a cardboard box then have to sell him.

Today, I worked at the barn and on some class work. Also decided that we're not going to do offsite backup from this location. Instead I've written a script that snags what we were going to backup offsite, copies any changes since last copy to an external drive. I'll then take that drive to a much faster network connection and backup from there. This will allow me to also backup email backups which we weren't planning on doing.

That's about all I have planned for today. I also made a Subversion and Trac repository/project respectfully for DeathNote. I think we're going to need to buy a new server if we really want to be serious about DeathNote.me because currently we're running the site on a 32bit system and we should really be using a 64bit system. I was thinking about doing another Chenbro case, 2U this time. And run 2 OS drives mirrored and 2 drives for MySQL. I think that'd be pretty badass. But that's going to be at least $1500, which we don't have...especially since we just spent like $2300 on the new database server haha.

I'm watching Fruits Basket but it's an English dub and I'm like "this" close to dropping it because I can't stand the annoying English voices and phrases and whatnot. It's terrible, especially after having just watched Welcome to the NHK which was amazing. Alright, I suppose that's enough chatter. :)

Wow, time is really flying. I am definitely not a fan of it either. I remember back in grade school where the days would just drag on forever and I would always wish for them to go so much faster, terrible idea! Now I barely have time to do anything and the days are really zipping by. I mean I feel like it was just spring and now it's already mid-fall. It sucks.

Anyways, I finally went riding the other night. I plan on going tonight again today. I definitely had a good time. I love being up there on the top of a horse. It's magical.

Yesterday was the horse "stuff" auction. I ended up getting 2 blankets, a pair of gloves, a brush and some lead ropes. emilie and I were going to buy 2 helmets but some lady bid $55 and we bid $50...so instead of them making $100 they made $55 haha, tards. Got to see the horse too so that was nice, picked a bunch of burs out of his tail...

I played some COD4 yesterday also, fun times, although I got pissed and ended up leaving in the middle of one game. I did rather well in my other games though. I've got to get back into playing some single player games, like I should finish up Star Fox...and move onto the next game in my huge ass list. I do need to add some new games to that list also.

Not much going on today, just finishing up some things, doing some stuff around the apartment. Might have a possible consulting call to go out on, but not 100% sure. Looks like it's going to be a pretty easy day, which I hope it is :)

I would like to try to start playing a character on our World of Warcraft server. I still really haven't found time to do that yet :) I'll probably go Blood Elf so emilie and I can play together.

I snapped a couple pictures cause it seemed to funny not too. Sorry for the ass quality, I was using my iPhone and it takes horrible pictures...I was pissed I forgot my Canon(s). Nippet is the one laying down, Buddy is the one on the other side of the fence, standing up :)
